  1. I've been in panic mode since the end of last season. If there's a positive somewhere, I'd like you to point it out to me. And no, "at least we're not Michigan or Notre Dame" isn't going to work.
  2. Yes, they happened. They had little effect on the outcome of the game though. USC would've just had to keep their foot on the gas a little longer. It must be really deppressing to be you. Thanks for the psychoanalysis Dr Freud. Just because I see things as they are doesn't mean I'm depressed.
  3. You're 100% correct. Just as long as everyone sees it for what it is.
  4. Yes, they happened. They had little effect on the outcome of the game though. USC would've just had to keep their foot on the gas a little longer.
  5. Hmmm....I thought I adequately addressed my point. I don't have blind loyalty to anyone. You can call it self-righteous, I just call it who I am. Nevertheless, your point it well taken. It's certainly not the fault of the kids. It's too bad they're caught in the middle of this mess. OTOH, they may learn a lesson about the highs and lows of life.
  6. Not buying the PPV game this Saturday would make more of a statement than any fire so-and-so.com. Money talks, bullsh#t walks.
  7. I saw it, and I'm not going to argue with Dr. Rob. I thought he said that was pretty much the case across the board with USC, not just the defense, but I could've misunderstood him.
  8. You're pretty proud of that phrase, huh? I think it's kinda catchy.
  9. No apology needed, it was actually done in the mid-90s very quietly. There was never an official announcement or anything. Kind of strange that it worked that way too, there's usually some level of freak-out involved anytime the slightest change is made to the football program.
  10. Nice job editing your post and removing the personal attack. And no, I'm not a blind loyalist. If you want to be one, fine. Enjoy the Pedeyocrity Era.
  11. Does that mean Bob Stoops would have got it done in the same amount of time in this situation? Does it really matter what certain coaches did (good or bad) for other programs in different situations? Ummm...that's kinda what this thread is about.
  12. Just FTR, Bill Byrne took the "corn" out of "Cornhuskers", not SP.
  13. B)--> QUOTE(Husker B @ Sep 17 2007, 04:25 PM) 215820[/snapback] This is the dumbest argument I have ever seen on a message board. I'm sure you're married to a model. I think he made a damn good point.
  14. Sorry, but if my favorite restaurant starts serving crappy food, I'm not going to continue eating there.
  15. Sounds a lot like 2002/2003. Oh there you go again, you just love Frank Solich. /sarcasm
  16. No, you're not paying attention. It's... PEDEY-OCRITY!
  17. You haven't noticed? I've had it since the end of last season. Pretty much everyone here hates me because of it. As far as after the Nevada game, nothing was proven either way in that game. I was out of town that weekend anyway so I wasn't around the board much.
  18. It's not "what", it's "who". And you all know who I'm referring to.
  19. Yeah, we suck, but at least we're not as bad as (insert team here). That's what we as Husker fans have always aspired for. And as far as what everyone has said, I've bookmarked a few things. As for me, I haven't wavered one bit.
  20. That would be funny if it wasn't true. You probably should've started this one in the woodshed though.
  21. OMG A CONSPIRACY!!!1 You should know better. Pearlman, Pedersen and Callahan have weekly meetings on how they can continue to screw up the athletic department. They relished the opportunity to come to NU and ruin the whole thing and it was their intention from the start! Duh! You know, it doesn't surprise me when others here put words in my mouth, but when someone who is supposed to be setting an example does it...weak.
  22. Not necessarily. Most coaching transitions aren't as difficult as ours has been.
