  1. Bullsh#t. More bullsh#t. This must just be making you grin from ear to ear. 'IF' you are a fan of any kind, you are a fan of a dream, not a team. Think about it. f#*k off, dick face. Think about that.
  2. I believe they had worked their way through that by the end of Gibb's tenure. He was there for six seasons.
  3. Hole. Lee. Crap. I couldn't have said it any better myself. Everyone needs to read this post. I'd put it in my signature if it wasn't so long.
  4. I voted KU simply because they seem to have the least annoying fans.
  5. It's actually not going to be that easy to break it as I'd imagine most of the tickets are already sold for this season. Now if there aren't any changes made to the staff at the conclusion of this season, I'd say all bets are off for next year. I won't shed a tear about it because IMO Husker football as we know it has already been destroyed.
  6. Yep, they were right. We've been sold a bill of goods. Heck I even bought into it until the end of last season.
  7. Yea, because making decisions based on an Internet poll is always a good idea. If they had a poll like this a few times back in the day and they actually executed the majorities vote, TO would have never won anything. I'm not saying concerns aren't legit, but some here talk like they are master planning some giant comeback for Husker football from the comfort of their computer chair. Gimme a friggin break. Yep, you're right. We should just sit back and eat up this garbage they're serving.
  8. Spoken like a true generation x'er. We can still show recruits around the country that the fans here at NU will support THEM and our once proud program. Have some class and fortitude and stand behing your team. Lets not abandon the kids and our once proud tradition. Heads should roll, but you may be loping your own head off by not supporting our program and hiding behind a keyboard and spouting. I will be there in support of our team and the kids on the field I don't like the it any more than you, but we're severely limited on what we can do. Unless you're going to come up with something better don't shoot this idea down.
  9. Tough choice, Pedersen is the one who created this mess, but Perlman was his enabler and complicated matters further by handing SP an extension so I voted for him.
  10. Hitting the advertisers is a great idea, perhaps a boycott of them will help shake things up. I have only been to a couple games the last couple years so I'm not sure who currently advertises in the stadium. I know Val's used to but I think Runza replaced them. Perhaps those of you who have been there lately can list some of them for us. As far as replacement coaches, unless the person who bungled the last coaching search is removed I don't see how we can expect anyone better. Most of the "family" is getting up there in years, Gill would probably be the best candidate in that respect. I'm not against going outside the family as long as it's someone who will embrace the program instead of having a "one game, one season" attitude. Bob Stoops wasn't part of the OU family, he in fact is a Hayden Fry disciple, but he succesfully revived the OU tradition.
  11. Exactly. Somebody somewhere is going to have to swallow their pride before anything is going to get better. The problem is everyone we're dealing with here have massive egos and I don't know that any of them are capable of it.
  12. Yes, yes, but now what are we going to DO about it? Well, we could round up some torches and pitchforks ... For the most part, it's beyond our control. There are only a few things we as fans can do and they've been discussed in some other threads. The sellout streak is the first thing that comes to my mind. It belongs to the fans, but I'm not sure as a fanbase we're willing to sacrifice it.
  13. Empty seats in Memorial Stadium (or wear a bag over your head if you do go) and not buying the PPV telecast next week would be a good start.
  14. You can thank Steve Pedersen for that. Here's his email address: steve@huskers.com
