Walk a mile in their shoes and then your opinion (read bitch) might have some validity. Speaking of walking in used shoes.(Yuk)..I wore out a few pairs of McCathorn Claytons Turf Shoes back in the late 80's..And I doubt I'm any more Valid than anyone else here. It's probably more important to have this BBS site for us armchair QB's to bitch/moan on, so when we're out in civilization, we don't bore our friends/relatives with useless details or beat the kids. Let's just hope the real Coaches and Players don't read..Or at least take all these rants with a grain of Corn. Same goes for the potential recruits.

Sick thing is, that's exactly what our covenants say. LOL, They even issues parkkng tickets and tow vehicles. F#$K that. I'm moving back to Huskerland soon as I can. Where you at now? For most of the day they towed me, The Police had me convinced my car was stolen. I found out later, they towed me at 5am..1/2 hour b4 I needed it to get to work..I almost spent the rest of the week sleeping in my car with a shotgun..but my Wife hid my gun.

Yeah..But it was on ABC (Instead of my Beloved Huskers in this area). It's hard not to hold them responsible for bumping the game I really wanted to watch. Only reason I caught the last drive of their game, was that I woke up in time for Nebraska's last drive (on the Radio) and I turned on the tube hoping the PAC game was over and they'd cut to our game. I try to support the local teams..or at least care a little if they win..But it's kinda like being in love with your Wife and seeing a bikini model walk by..You want to look..but you feel a little disrespectful if you run into a parking meter while walking down the sidewalk. My Wife wants to go to a Buckeye bar next Sat. after the Hybrid's last Soccer game, to watch Her old school in the "Game of the Century" (new millenium). Should I wear that Michigan shirt I found at a thrift store? or the red OSU shirt she gave me? Yeah..No Question..One of my HUSKER shirts.. And don't get me started about the CCnR's..Thicker than our phone book..Legalese..Sales agent Lying like a used car salesman while translating..Me trying to look like I understand most of the legal terms to impress Buckeye37 so we can each sign/innitial the 150 pages in under an Hour...Then whenever I question the HOA at a meeting, they always knee jerk with, "But you agreed to not Park your car in front of your house on page 852.."

No problem - we just try and keep everything "slotted" so it's easier for everyone to know where to go for a particular topic. WAY Too many sections on this board. Not to sound like an :asshat , but I really wish you'd leave the threads where they start. I started a thread last week and couldn't find it for a couple of days. (thought it had been deleted)..Then I stumbled on it in another "Slot".

Man..I fell asleep at Halftime (long day..kids Soccer) listening to Radio upstairs..Then I woke up with 2-3 min. left..Sure wish I could've seen it. As for Cally..I think he'd do better if we had playoffs..But we'll see.if he sticks around long enough to develop 4-5-year players and continues to learn..Shoot..Most all coaches look like idiots at least once a game... Oh Yeah..And maybe starts to have an undefeated season as a Team Goal. It's hard not to be optomistic for the long run.

Yeah..I miss the Football and the people and both days of nice weather. But my Wife and I BOTH get almost Suicidal if we have two consecutive days of Gray Skies..It's even hard to see it on TV during a game.. Still not sure how we ever survived growing up... Me in Nebraska, Her in Ohio.

Barry Alvarez coming here as a DC makes perfect sense.. He misses the coaching and the comraderie and wouldn't have to deal with the press as much as a Head Coach..Nothing to prove..I still remember him coaching Lexington...(Bitter rival) when I was in Grade School.

Even though we'd usually end up loosing our last one or two games each season ('70's - 90's) it was still nice to know we were in it to win (And could safely bet your best Girl some sexual favors on the outcome). After the USC game and the OSU game...I don't know what to expect any given week. Raise your hands if you think Cally would've kicked the extra point for the tie in '83 OB instead of going for the win. That's what opposing fans remember most often (At least the ones that strike up a conversation when they see me wear NU t-shirts)..T.O. went fer TWO and we win or lose with CHARACTER. Quick! Somebody figgure out how many times you can do this (Including half the distance to the goal) before you're kicking off from your goal line! They should put this Question on the Wonderlict Test!!! Technically you could never do this to where your kicking off from your goal line. A fraction of infinity would go into play there. But you could get pretty damn close. That's what I thought at 1st.. But then you also have to take into account the width (Front -back) of the kicking tee, and then whether or not the head linesman thought to bring calipers...Hopefully, someone will test this out this season before they have a chance to modify the rule...Whad'ya say, Bill..Score 1st against ATM and have the kickoff team members take turns going off sides..so as not to appear too intentional?
