They got money coming from other places & seem to be dedicated Huskers.

Okay, but are they eating the operational costs or are they using part of the donations as implied by the post I quoted?

There may be smaller ones, but the biggest by far is 1890. They seem to be the one the school "unofficially" works with regarding NIL.

By all accounts, 1890 is a well run NIL operation despite weird message board missgivings about Matt Davidson. If you chose to donate, most of your money will go directly towards Husker Athletics - with a small amount going towards costs to run the operation.

Thought the Peeds were eating the operational costs.

Good point.  I just think that if 2 qb's do get hurt then I don't know who would they pull from another position to have as a backup.

They might go with one of the other 3 guys in the qb room.

This is so sad and sudden.  I am glad he decided to bring it up after trying to keep it quiet.

I will pray for him and wish him the best.  PanCan is so aggressive.  6 months tops, but typically 3-6 months to live after diagnosis.  At least from what I have always known.  And that time goes quickly and it's no picnic at the same time.

There's a certain point that if they catch it before that, there is actually hope. Problem is it isn't caught before that point in the majority of cases.

That is how it was explained to me by someone whose husband passed due to PanCan. And it's a horrible way to go.

.169???  Yikes.  Thankfully no one was hurt.

There goes her NIL car, not that she will be able to drive it for the next year anyways.

Hopefully a lesson learned for her and everyone else on the team.

I don't know. I can see a good endorsement deal from a company that installs the breathalyzer in vehicles.

I think getting rid of the automatic bids for mid-majors is a horrible idea.  And, like he said, it would turn it into nothing but a tournament of the major conferences.  And...that would take away from what makes the tournament great.

But think of all the great games we'll get to see from teams like Virginia. (Do I really need to use the sarcasm emoji?)

Good to see Huskers play the Shockers in a series.  Seems like these two teams should have playing a series every year for 30-40 years straight.  But instead it's a game that gets sprinkled into the schedule here and there (over the years).  I'm talking about a series though.

Wichita State got a long history of playing some good baseball.  I forget but I think it all went to hell last year or the year before.

I like the Huskers starting pitching and the bats so far.  Not looking for a sweep, but I won't count that out either.

It started to go to hell when Gene took the OU job then returned a week or two later. They've been mediocre at best since. Last year just seemed to be the year it did after Wedge walked away due to personal reasons in January.

In 4 to 5 years when Luka is 28 or 29, he'll be in a great position to win a championship.

You're expecting him to leave Dallas in 4-5 years? :P

You’re okay with cheating and breaking the rules. Good to know.

Sure they more than handled Washington but the thing we’ll never be sure of is if they make it into that game without breaking the rules. IMO they more than deserve to be dinged for all their sign stealing, illegal contact and recruiting violations. Ignoring the rules seems to be a Harbaugh staple.

Given their schedule, it would be safe to say they would have. They played 5 ranked teams out of their last 6 games and none before that. And they won two of those games against ranked opponents without their head coach. But that also assumes they stopped doing what they are accused of doing when it came out.

Edit: I missed the part about the other two violations. I got nothing for that.

The only way to fix this is to create tiers of schools at which all players of certain positions would recieve the same $$$. At the top, essentially the BIG and SEC, all starting qbs get $1 mil across the the tier, 2nd string, half a mil., 3rd string a quarter. Maybe RBs and wrs top out at $750k, linemen $500k, and so forth. This would do much to solve the problems we are facing today which will only further escalate pricing and create bidding wars, similar to coaching salaries over the last 20 years. This, of course, would limit teams with significant resources from using their advantages to improve, but would do away with the inability to build a team.

You think the courts would allow all the schools to collude and fix the amount each position makes? This giant cluster fluff that has been created isn't going to be fixed until people pull their collective heads out of their asses.
