  1. BS. The plays were there like Eric said. Blame the coaches and the AD all you want, but that's what happened.
  2. In Orlando, FL on ESPN. ACC vs. Big 12. http://fcsports.com/events/tbowl/tangerine-body.shtml
  3. I know I was the same way. It got to be comical. I agree. It was definitely laughable towards the end.
  4. You do it with the right players and time. We have time, whether you want to admit it or not, but we don't have all the right players yet. Don't tell me it's not possible because that's BS.
  5. I feel sorry for the kid, really. A true freshman to have that kind of start to his college career has to be absolutely crushing. I was thinking last night, who feels worse? Beau or Beau's parents? Anyone have any thoughts on the topic? Hopefully he will remember this experience and take something good away from it. After all the kid is very very young. I am sure the coaches and his teammates, especially Joe, will help him learn from it.
  6. That's great and all, but to what end? What does that accomplish? Do you think that maybe one day someone with the authority will come to this board and say, "Hey, I think we should listen to this guy" and BANG, you have your way? Are you just going sit there and stew for the next x years? If you are, have fun wallowing in your own bitterness. My point is this, I don't know if what is going to on now is going to pan out but I am willing to give a guy and his team more than 5 games to show me. You on the other hand are unrealistic and hard headed like a lot of fans out there. Imagine if you took ownership of a business that needed a lot of work in the accounting department. Would you expect your employer to give you more than a year to turn it around? I would, at least. It may be a cheesy example, but I am trying anything to bore through that cumulative hard head out there. This was undoubtedly a hard one to swallow and I am afraid of what will happen for the rest of the year. It's gut check time for the team and the staff. Will they be able to come back this year? Only time will tell.
  7. Reports are saying that the Tangerine Bowl wants NU bad. Even after last nights loss. It was in Shatel's column in the OWH this morning. AR, I will see if I can dig up a link. http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_np=0&u_pg...8&u_sid=1226827
  8. Great 2nd post. We'll just throw you into the pile of people on this board that love to yearn for yesteryear.
  9. Yea, but because that matters when you are worried about W's and L's. Oh yea, IT DOESN'T. What the hell is this, a popularity contest? No. It's football.
  10. Might aswell remove him from scholie. He's no good and never will be. Yea, I mean c'mon. He is a freshman with no game experience getting thrown into a game that he wasn't prepared for. Why didn't he play with more poise? I think I just gave you two reasons. If it were up to you, it would be 1994 all the time.
  11. agree. we looked out of sorts ffrom the beginning. no way we are that much worse than tech. callahan is trying way too hard at this point. that is one of the beenfits of the option. it was reliable. It was also in place for more than 5 games.
  12. Uh, it's been 5 games. Some of you guys can't seem to see past your own nose.
  13. You gotta pay for that sh#t. Anyone have a recording? That would be cool if we could get it! I wonder why no local stations here carry the press conferences. Is there some rule against it?
  14. Pelini coulda woulda shoulda. The point is there is no way to know what Pelini would have done so speculating just rises the level of BS on the board already. Cos. See AR's post in Open Field. Recievers were just walking away from DB's in this game. You can't coach speed into a kid no matter how much greener you thought the grass was. I do think we should have gone after Cumbie many many more times than we did.
  15. Once again, give it up and come up with some real commentary.
  16. Or did TTech plug up the holes?
  17. This is a talent issue. What this game demonstrated is that we need a major talent infusion at nearly every position. We couldn't generate a pass rush all night. While we mostly rushed three and four, that doesn't explain it - had we rushed more, we would have left the secondary wide open. When the T-Tech receivers caught the ball, you would often see two and three defenders in position to make the tackle - but the T-Tech receivers simply ran away from them. That's speed, pure and simple. We need speed on defense. I didn't see our folks out of position so much as I saw them unable to get to the receiver quickly enough. When a team floods the defense with receivers, the defenders have to be able to close quickly - receptions are going to happen. Not sure about the offensive line. There were a number of times tonight when Dailey would drop back, and almost immediately have to scramble or slide away from the rush. It appeared that the T-Tech defenders were quicker than our offensive lineman - it wasn't so much that the T-Tech defensive lineman over-powered the offensive line, as it was that T-Tech line seemd to be getting off the ball faster and quicker, and making moves upfield that the offensive line couldn't compensate for quickly enough. It could be a long year. KSU lost to Kansas tonight, and at least early, MSU is having more difficulty with Baylor than I would expect - but there are no sure wins for us. We could still even win the North, and even qualify for a bowl game. But it's going to take a couple of years of serious recruiting to bring the talent level to the point we need it. Holy crap! A voice of reason amongst this mess of bitterness and self loathing! You need to post more, but I can see why you don't. The majority of people here would rather bitch about their team than actually give well thought out analysis of the team. Seriously, do you want to move back to Nebraska and I will move to Arkansas to get out of this infernal hell Nebraska has be come overnight? I had a feeling all the haters were going to come out of the woodwork over night, and hey, what do you know. People still living in January.
  18. Give it up and come up with some real commentary.
  19. I agree. Coaching has been good this game I think. We were sucessful in running early then they started to stop that. We have completed some good passes. However, it just seems to fall apart due to lack of execution. What do you know, Dyches made a field goal and Deangelis missed. Weird...I have a feeling I mentioned that earlier (waits for someone to say "yea but he barely made it" ) Defense is getting tore up. Not sure why we aren't blitzing more. Probably afraid of being burned, but that happened. We aren't getting the rush we would need from dropping 8 and rushing 3. That's quite a tall order for any defense I think TOUCHDOWN!!!!! GBR!
  20. I find it hard that you think green is going to go over century mark when last game callahan gave him one carry. It's like callahan has a new favorite each game. IT's the same with wr's. Running backs, one day its green, the next horne, and last game jackson. God forbid he try to get the future of the Husker backfield some playing time NOW. I think it's a good thing to spread it around.

You'd be better off to let him beat you up and then sue the crap out of him. I think it's stupid and ridiculous to let him on campus. You know he's going to go after chicks and something bad could happen. It's not worth the risk. You sound like my parents.

Bah, not a big deal at all. It's not like UNL is the College of the Sisters of Mercy.
