Fake punts like that are done to turn the tide of the game or try to gain momentum. They already had both, what that call did was give momentum to Auburn...

To get better you have to beat good ranked teams... yes they beat TX A&M by a prayer at the end. they got beat by USC, OK, TX and Auburn all top 10 teams and then beat teams with a combined record of 42-57.... You have to play better than that to be considered a top tier team...They are a ways away.

Okay after looking.... you might want to get a puke bag before reading further... The huskers have beaten one team with a winning record - K State (5-4), the teams they have beaten have a combined record of 18-27. The teams they have lost to have a combined record of 17-5. The bottom line is this team is poor. Thankfully for those that dont like the cold in Dec, the athletic dept had the foresight to schedule some crap teams so they would win enough games to get to a bowl games. The bad news is that it will likely be a bad bowl game. The good news is they will likely play a crappy team and have a chance to win boosting Husker fans attitudes for a brighter winning future. Yes, I recall watching that game. All I could say was a bunch of 4 letter words, over and over and over. That was by far the worst game I've ever seen us play. Not necessarily folks forget that the Huskers gave up 7 turnovers. And we had that crappy QB Dailey Nice fumble

The Defense is horrible. Mizzu is going to break their backs. This team is subpar at best which tells you exactly how good Texas is - not very good. D-Coordinator needs to be fired. They have been horrible on D since the switch to the west coast offense.
