zach was a good "fill in" while we are getting this program turned around.. but mark my words he is not a great QB. Tough no doubt. A great guy no doubt. but with the althletacism that we have coming in and the more dominating Qbs coming in who will break every record that ZT has (and ZT has even said so himself) we will be remembering him for the things he did to get this program turned around but not for his domination as a QB at this school. I love ZT but i think keller and soon to be QBs at nebraska will cast a huge shadow over him in the near future.

if our defense plays like they did the first half against missouri I think we will win. If they continue throughout the game. We've seen to many times we let teams back in it in the second half. Lets go for the jugular! take it to them all day. Not just the first quarter. Last year we were always down in the first quarter and had to climb back now its us getting ahead and letting teams come back.. lets just start strong and finish stronger!

Haha maybe a fumbleruskie! I think you are right they may end up like KU putting 8-9 guys in the box right off the bat and that wont be anygood for jackson. If they start that i would like to see sum PA passes on first down to open this game up. I think MO PUR is going to have a great game but other recievers are going to have to be on their game to! IE swift and nunn. I hope that taylor doesnt key on MO cuz i have seen many times this year where petersen and swift and nunn have been wide open and taylor doesnt look off defenders and tries to squeeze one into MO PUR.

Statisticly a very even game for the most part with aTm edging in a few. I think that if we play error free football we can win anygame... and beat any team on our schedule. I think we need to force the issue on D and try to force sum turnovers so we can clinch this big 12 north title.!

Nebraska vs aTm... This game is going to be close. With good running attacks on both teams we will see a quick low scoring game. This may come down to whomever has the ball last. I havent payed alot of attention to aTm but last week they went down 2 scores right off the bat and then held out and almost won the game. OU didnt have adrian so its hard to judge just how good the aTm's D really is. I think we will win a close one. What are you thoughts and how do you think we can T off on the weaknesses of aTm? I think culbert is a stud! this kid is going to make a difference at nebraska! He plays with excitment, enthusiasm, fire, and intesity! He is a spark that our D can use for the remainder of the season.

i would rather fire him and look at the big picture here. players arent going to look at him and say wow he has been here along time i wanna play there when our d is giving up 500+ yds to ku they want a coach with fire and intensity to hype them up and highlight their athletic abilities for nfl scouts. a gimpy octo is better than a healthy ruud. sry to say but you seem to disagree... watch the game and key on him and you will see what i am talking about. players do like stability and to be on the highlight reels

I am nowhere near a bandwagon fan. born into it die as it. I think you make a valid point in stating that we dont have the best talent because we dont and it will take time to get those players. my opinion is that i think by week 10 sum of those players should be starting to show there face more. like culbert and such. I think offensivly our program is making huge strides to become some of the best in the country. But i am a strong believer in defense wins championships and i dont think with the players nor the coaches that we have that we can do that. i see a select few players that are or are going to be outstanding. bowman carricker suh brandenburg octo culbert thenarse. Also with them becoming successfull you need a scheme that puts them in the position to make plays and i havent seen much of that with the coz bend but dont break mentality on D. what happend to the mentality of forcing the issue with the offense. making them react to you instead of the opposite?

There are a select few that know what i am talking about and those are the people that i am talking to.. i know there there are alot of ppl out there that agree we need to be more than mediocre and i have seen those posts.. like them alot.. just wondering what everyones mindset is on these subjects

Its humerous to me that there are several good football knowledge posts here and none of them are gettin attention..... the only ones are those of bashing and or non football facts...... here is my 2 cents! THERE ARE TO MANY BIASED FANS HERE! not looking deep into what the nu program or the game of college football is all about. people here think that its ok to be average and look at average players as good. I AM PERSONALLY SICK (puke) of the "average is ok" mentality.... when are people going to become more than fans and see what is really going on here.... NO TEAM, AND I MEAN NO TEAM, in the d1 ranks has a chance to win a title with coz as d- coordinator. as previously stated by such players as kohl vederal and burrows ruud would not and should not play a down if mcbride or pelini were here but coz sees him as "fundamentally correct'' but doesnt see the playmaking ablity of youngsters. WHY do you as a fan think this is ok? WHY do you as a fan not look at the big picture and see what is going on here? Solich started all this crap because he couldnt recruit or call a damn play on offense.... we all knew what the next play was going to be in his measly few years at nebraska? Look at daily... what a joke he is comparable to such players as ruud shanle and grixby... accept different sides of the ball... we need a change! ou is one thing and those games are supposed to be tight. not iowa state and ku no way those games should never be close and you shouldnt want close games with them. i can see close games with texas miami ou maybe even an occasional cu or ksu. look at the south over recent years. you have more dominating teams and we all up here just look like a buncha average bird dogs. i dont want to be average anymore.

Last year colectively the defense had 50 sacks. Why this year same coach, alot of the same players, arent we getting similar results?

i like exciting games in the big 12 its fun. but why do you want to be relative to an iowa state, ku who we used to blow out by 60s and 70s. we might as well start playing sdsu so we can get that feeling back of what dishin out an ass whoopin feels like.

in my eyes what is good enough is when you have a team that goes out every saturday.. and you know what the outcome is going to be, you know we are going to beat ku ksu mu cu iowa state, when those games arent must wins because we already know that we are going to win them thats whats good enough. nit picking little details is not going to hurt anything. getting the person excited to be successfull is a major part of it, its all about motivation, but you already knew that

You guys are all mad at me and landonhusker. thats fine you are entitled to your own opinion. So are we. we came on here yesterday to voice out own opionions about nebraska football... We are DIE-HARD nebraska fans. There are just a few things we dont like. I look at it this way. You are the head of a major sales orginization. You are responsible for hiring and training. When your trainees come in and after they have been trained you notice a few individuals that are not up to par but you know with all of your years of experience that they are going to be great with the right training. So what do you do? nit pick on every little detail so that person knows everything and gets every weapon he/she needs to become the best! I love nebraska football and i see the potential this next few seasons can have. Im just the nit picker who wants the best to come out of everyone!
