  1. let's hope it ends better than the raiders did Ouch! Touche'! Honestly though... What would T.O. have done with a pro football team? Exactly. And Al Davis' team to boot. Well said.

  3. I am lucky. I am a Nebraska native who now lives 35 miles from the Cotton bowl. I am bringing 15 of my friends down from Nebraska to cram in my little house. Ahhh, new years eve party followed by an excellent matchup with your team. BTW, nice job knocking the Gator's teeth out earlier in the season. I look forward to the game. See you next year...
  4. You know DaveH, you went too far in the editing of my post which is more proof of the coddled and stroked PC world we live in. I didnt come into this forum to rattle off rants and name call, but sometimes people have to feel the wrath of what they are causing. If I laid numerous negative posts out there consisting of a monologue of put-downs and judgements, then by all means ban me. That, however, is not my aim. But you are the moderator after all, and thank you for the welcome.
  5. Ok...ok I honestly didn't think t**bag was profanity. I apologize. In response to your question, no I actually am pretty laid back. I just get so frustrated with people's expectations time-frame wise. I am a freak fan in sickness and in health, and I understand patience is required for quality. I don't want Callahan to coach scared because of it either. We should be talking about contract extensions, not his head on a stick.
  6. I can't believe you whining [edit by mods]. People of today with their high-speed lifestyles are so impatient and as such the United States has become the new China of get it done now crappy products. [edit by mods] Anyone who REALLY knows Nebraska history remembers Tom Osborne's head being on a platter year after year for never being able to win the "BIG" game. Remember when he had the nickname "Uncle Tom" before Dr. Tom? You remember why? Because uncle Tom would put in lower talent white players instead of the black athletes. Fact is, Tom Osborne is remembered like some kind of a god now when for years he was cussed and ridiculed. Now we expect instant gratification from a coach who is gonna drag NU kicking and screaming into 21st century football? You expect him to air it out and not play conservative but only give him 3 years to pull miracles? This is hypocrisy at it's finest. You can't have both! Either you want a risk taker that will come into his own and eventually build an elite program with blood, sweat, tears, and huge balls or you will have to deal with a coach to scared to get creative because of [edit by mods] such as yourselfs calling for his job after some hard-fought close losses to excellent programs. CRAFTSMANSHIP takes time. CRAP doesn't and left up to you [edit by mods] and your skewed views of the halcyon days of what we once would embroil our program in the chasing of the proverbial carrot-on-a-stick until the end of time. [edit by mods] Shut up, sit back, and let a true CRAFTSMAN like Callahan finish what he started. For the love of all things holy! Oh, I forgot. Bananalamas do rock!
  7. I'm surprised those left-coast liberals in the "Land of the Fruits and Nuts" haven't run you outta town yet considering your propensity for firearms, lol.
  8. True... So how'd you end up in SoCaL, rawhide? Are you from Nebraska originally? I temporarily moved to Long Beach 4 years ago. Lived in a condo complex right on the water on East Ocean Boulevard called the Queen Mary Surf I believe. Kindof a crappy part of town I soon learned(at least when you left the security-code "green zone" and got down on the street).
  9. You know looking at those game results does tell the whole story. Fact is their defense gives up about half as many points against the same opponents. Our offense, however, scores substantially more. Even though it has been said before the bottom line is this: if our defense shows up and plays a stellar game, which I believe they will, it's over for OU. Plain and simple. If our D plays as usual, it will come down to half-back passes, fake field goals, walk-away direct snaps, and a few bombs. Notice I didn't say we'd lose in the soft D scenario, we'll just have to pull out all the stops (i.e. Waterboy, lol). Now that I think about it, Callahan does bear a striking resemblence to Henry Winkler and they both carry around those 9 pound playbooks. Hope he doesn't show up in pumps.....
  10. Thank you for the welcome. I am a Nebraska native who's been living in Fort Worth, Texas for 4 years because of a job transfer, but fear not. I will be back in God's country this spring.
  11. By the way what the hell is that ------------------------------------------>>
