Or those that have open border policies that go against one of the few tenants the Fed Gov is supposed to control.
Can you point out where the Constitution says that's a disqualifying action?

If the US Supreme Court takes this up and upholds it, then it is what it is. I think that would create an opening for states to do this in other cases. If swing states do it, then what? Election boards and judges decide who is president?
Let all of them keep candidates off the ballot who incited an insurrection.

I don't need judges doing what they did.

The lawsuit is also about how the original contract did not include Stanford, Cal, or SMU. It'll be interesting to see if that matters or not.

It’s interesting that the Colorado Supreme Court took Trump off the state ballot for something I don’t believe he is charged with not has been convicted for?
2 hours ago, Decked said:Yes, exactly. These folks should he held accountable.
2 hours ago, Decked said:Trump also has not been convicted. This is an automatic bust.
The 14th Amendment does not require that Trump has been charged or convicted - only that he "engaged in insurrection against the United States". Colorado
SC got it right. But Decked is probably right that the GOP will now attempt to use against their political enemies even though it has a specific application.

This is messed up. In CO, we can vote to retain judges. I might have to remember this.
https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/colorado-trump-14th-amendment-12-19-23/index.html
In a stunning decision, the Colorado Supreme Court removed former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 ballot, ruling that he isn’t an eligible presidential candidate because of the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban.”
The Colorado Supreme Court agrees that Trump's actions were messed up.

Apparently this may not be quite as easy as it may seem, and that may have led to some of our numbers crunch this year.
You can't make guys leave, at least not the ones that were signed out of high school. They have a four-year guarantee. You can encourage them to leave but you can't cut them. That part is probably known.
I heard - but haven't confirmed - that new coaches can cut scholarships to players they didn't sign.
