are you serious? Yeah I'm serious, I didn't say they played outstanding or great or even good. I said well. They made some really good plays and they improved a lot from the last three weeks. They played well but there is still room improvement. So yes I'm serious. I agree. D played well. Even if you have an A+ defense, you will still have problems when you offense puts it on the ground twice in one quarter along with an intersection. *** In the last two games Ruud has showed why HE wears the C on his jersey.

I think that, coincidentally, the start of the football season coincided with the beginning of the struggles. I also think that the discussion is a lot more interesting when things aren't going so well. I mean, yeah, doing well is great, but everyone getting together and saying "Woo hoo" gets kind of dull after a while. Also, I noticed that after last saturday, besides the "told you so" threads, the discussion was all fairly one-sided and, again, not too exciting I said it before, but I was a fan for as long as I've liked *watching* football (I mean, I always like NU but was never a big watcher of football until after high school), but when things started going poorly, that's when I really started getting into it. It's more fun for me to try to see if I can see what the problems are than just to sit there and say "yeah, we rock." It's cool to rock, but rolling everyone up during the season kind of makes the season boring Safe, but boring. Anyway... I have to go. Are you a grad student? Interesting thought, but I have to agree that it is the start of the football season also. Plus in the nature of websites, sometimes when a website reaches a certain point of popularity, it literally snow balls.

I don't think they brought, I think the Nebraska D is just absolutely awful. BSU has a good QB, but this D would make Joe Dailey look like Elway. Oh they brought it. And as much as I hate to say their QB is great, he would have won the game for them if their gomer receiver wouldn't have dropped the ball at the end of the drive, prior to fg attempt. There was like 4 or 5 drops where they would have waxed us with and that was just the deep ball, i wont go into short passes. We got Lucky. Plus that pass where QB hung it right over WR and into the end zone. I doubt that can be defended by anybody, just perfect. That's bringing it.
