Should be USC will lose in Lincoln in September. They're always overrated and are shaky on the road. Our improved secondary should force them to beat us with the ground game, and I don't see that happening. Anyone else sick and tired of hearing how good the Trojans are and how they're going to win the NC for the next 20 years straight?? We'll also beat Texas. Their pass defense will still be sub-par with talented, but inexperienced guys. Their QB will be McCoy, but their backups are unclear at this time. Knock McCoy out of the game, and it'll be ours to lose.

It was a hypothetical thread, but why do Nebraska football fans have such a hard time with change?

Just wanted to see what people thought about changing the current uniforms. I know in the past there's been some switching of the "Adidas" logo from the middle of the jersey to the right shoulder and the deletion of the shoulder stripes around 2002, but nothing major. We seem kind of limited since we only have two colors, while a lot of other schools have 3. Maybe throw some black in the mix. I think changing the N from a single-lined letter to an outlined style (like on the 50-yard line) would be cool.

I also hope we kick USC's ass. But I do take some offense to the "Freakafornia" remark. No offense intended, but LA is the most God-forsaken place in this country. 5 years is enough, get me out of this place!!! Living away from Nebraska is overrated! Go Big Red!!

I totally agree. I see Big 12 champions and a BCS game for this year. Just think how close we were to 11-2 in 06, if not for games we should have won, (Ok. St., Texas, and Auburn, and possibly Oklahoma). We won't know how good we really are until we knock off a great program. USC is going down this year. They proved last year they are a horrible road team. Let's send these Hollywood Pansies back to Freakafornia with one in their L column!

I think it's totally possible. Maybe it won't be exactly like the 94-95 teams, but I believe that Nebraska will be a dominant force in college football again very soon. Remember, Osborne won these titles in his last few years of coaching and how many times did we play in the game and not succeed before? It will happen, just be patient. Case in point, look at UCLA, they have a beautiful campus with great weather, but still can't win a NC. I think weather is an overrated factor in recruiting, etc. A lot of these players who played at a warm weather school in college end up at cold weather pro teams. Texas turned out to be a flop in 2006. I predict USC won't be a powerhouse forever. Just look at Miami and Florida St., two traditional powerhouses whose programs are in the tank right now. As we have more success on the field, our recruiting quality will grow. The rating services in my opinion are not always accurate. Carriker was listed as a 1 star on scout.com and is someone who will go easily in the 1st round. Grixby was listed as a 4 star?????
