  1. was that as bad as it sounded? Crowd had the collective OOHH!
  2. They both sound like they are making confident plays, no deers on the interstate. I wish I could watch. Oh well. Live feed is better than nothing. Beer is much cheaper, anyway.
  3. All right, just made it off the scout team....after about 5years. Does it suck to have a life?
  4. I know..right? I guess Watson isn't so much of a dumbass as many have stated.
  5. Not too worried about clock control. Granted the hill gets steeper throughout the season, but it seems like we will be able to score. I'm liking the inclusion of a lot of players...I wish I could be a fly on the wall when opposing D-Coordinators take a look at this game tape..."Who do we stop?" "I dunno, too many to stop. let's try and hold on to the ball for a while."
  6. This is the way to go if no TV feed or a wife that wants help watching the kids.
  7. i would like to hear about T-Mart's arm now. Obviously, he can run. Let's get everyone involved, make us tough to gameplan for.
  8. No, it hasn't. Tom Osborne has mentioned the pressure to win from the fanbase several times. What's changed is the media attention and scrutiny. There is a lot more of it. Most seem to prefer an honest representation of oneself, whether it be a calm, serene personality bourne out of years of unrealistic expectations(can't win a championship every year) or a fiery perfectionist who has little patience for media(and message board)idiocy. What you see is what you get. Bo seems to understand the priorities around NU football, respects the traditions, and is building up a program that had lost it's chi, it's essence. Once again....it's FOOTBALL, not intramurals, brotha. It's a rather violent and intense sport. Watch his interview from Tuesday. He can't sit still. He is amped most of the day, from what I see. I just hope he gets to relax and have a beer when he gets home, and is able to put the day behind him. He has an intense desire to be successful and he accepts the responsibility of this position. Winning is priority #1, winning a certain way is priority #2, having players and coaches backs is priority #3.... coddling the media is kinda low on that list. That's the way it is, that is the way it's going to be, and that's the way it was.
  9. It's not like he is under pressure or anything. I mean really, why should he be so intense? The entire Nebraska populace doesn't take pride in the football program, so why should he feel any pressure? TO was a little animated on the sidelines in the 70s. After getting his azz handed to him by virtually everyone in the state for coming up short against OU, he started to mellow and understand that was just the way it was going to be around here, so he just did his thing and figured out how to deal with it. He wasn't very forthcoming towards the end of his career. He had gotten to be a little sarcastic. Listen to him after his last game against Tennessee. "Yeah, we did some good things, knocked a few people down." I think Bo will learn how to better handle his image. Right now, he just wants to win, because that is what is demanded of him here. Remember, he was part of a staff that was fired after a 10-3 season. Kind of reminds me of that old Billy Joel video..."Pressure!" I personally like honesty. "If you're pissed and you know it, let 'em know." Besides...it is football....Nebraska Football....Tiddly Wink coaches need not apply. As far as hostility towards officials, if they would would get the call right, the hostility would not follow. A little accoutability would go a long way in reducing the volume in their ear. I've seen the sainted Crack Brown light up plenty of officials.
  10. Oh well, we'll recover and move on. If the 2 dudes whom I have the most respect for, recruiting informationwise, are less than optimistic, then...well...there is a decent chance he is gone. BeeDub seems to know a coach or something so.... It's not like our class will suck all of the sudden. Simek anyone?
  11. Welcome aboard Tyler! I don't care what position you play, just leave it all out there and you will be fine! Glad to have you as a Husker!
  12. Welcome A-ROD! Notice the little thingy on top of da wabbit? I'm thinking that is what is fixin' ta happen to a few opposing D-Linemen. I like pancakes!
  13. Welcome Lavonte! A little drama never hurt anyone. You put your right arm out, you put your left arm out, you cross them in front and you let out a shout. You throw the boney bones, after knock'em to da ground, that's what it's all about!
  14. Welcome Corey! So glad to have ya as a Husker! Start practicing your bone throwing!! It goes something like this:
