I learned that Bo is still a jerk at post-game press conferences.
I disagree. If I were being asked stupid questions like the ones some of those reporters asked I'd be miffed too. Come on! They watched the game too. You would think that they could formulate at least a few intelligent questions. Most of the time they just try to bait him. So they get what they deserve. I say Good For You Bo!

If you got a chance to watch the post-game press conference with Bo it was unbelievable! He pretty much had enough with Dirk Chatelain and went right after him during the press conference. He admitted that he read Chatelain's article from Friday, and Dirk kept asking absolutely stupid questions, so Bo interrupted him and said "I'm done with you. Anyone else have any questions that are worth answering."
All I have to say is way to go Bo!
It has been clear over the last few seasons that Dirk has something either against Bo or Nebraska itself. I am so glad Pelini had the stones to hold Chatelain's feet to the fire in front of all his colleagues.
When Bo left the press conference.....everyone in the press room clapped with approval. That doesn't happen very much...if at all.
Way to go Bo!
I thought it was hilarious that Bo called that reporter out. What stupid questions some of these reporters ask! Blah!

Ok, I don't get it. Why would we have Martinez pass the ball to Ben Cotton when we have sooooo many other talented kids that can not only catch the ball but also run it down the field? Sorry, I just don't get that.

Sucks to see a kid go down like that no matter what uniform he's wearing, he looks ok though. Great to see the Huskers getting back into it.
absolutely, never want to see it.
No kidding. That's the one thing I dislike about football

I've been reading the board this week and comments others have made in other places on the social media and in public and it got me to thinking about what kind of Husker fan I am. I was really mad when we lost last week because I thought if we played the way we did first quarter we would've won. I'm sorry but I don't think Wisconsin is that good of a team. They have a good quarterback but we sacked him twice. I felt that if we would've stuck with our running game it would've been a better game. The defense needs work but they (in my humble opinion) are young in certain spots and can get better.
So for my part I decided that win or lose I'm still going to root for the Big Red. I supported them through the glory days and through the Callahan debacle so I'll continue to do so. Now does that mean I won't talk about their performance? Won't question why the coaches did or did not do certain things during the game? No. But I will continue to support them.
So for me, it isn't a question of 'Are you a true Husker fan?' I think everyone here is a true Husker fan or we wouldn't care enough to write but what kind of fan do you consider yourself to be? (or is this just redundant?)

I'll be there. Dancing in the rain in Section 21 Row 17
Yell really loud for all of us and we'll be at home yelling our heads off for you! GO BIG RED!!!

Still mystified why more criticism isn't aimed at the defense, where it belongs. Including a defensive front line that was ranked among the best in the nation coming in, but appears to threaten absolutely no one. A Martinez-led offense would look brilliant against these blackshirts.
People need just one face to blame, and Taylor Martinez is easier to crap on than Carl Pelini.
I wonder if we would've heard all of this criticism had we won. If we would've stayed in the game, still had those interceptions but made a come back later in the game. Would all have been forgiven?

If you're mad then do something about it. Start acting like a real QB and play to win
This is another example of an unfair comment. He is trying and trying hard. So he didn't learn a lot of basics in high school...he's still a great athlete and the COACHES put him at qb
I agree. When you think of how he was last year-barely spoke a word to anyone, sat apart from the team. This year? He's laughing, he's trying to pump his team up, he's initiating leadership. Ok, so he doesn't have a good throw-is that something he could improve on? Isn't that what quarterback coaches are for?

The only thing worse is if at this Thursday's game on ESPN, Lou Holpthz gives a pep talk to the Hupthkertz.
Oh! Don't get me started on his speech! He has THE worst lateral lisp I've ever heard.

I get it. None of us like to see the team lose, including myself. It just seems to be that some people try to live vicariously through these kids. I'm am pretty sure that these kids are competitive and hate to lose as well. But for some reason, I seems that some of the posters here, take a loss harder than the team. I fail to believe that they are not upset for their showing in Madison on Saturday night. Some people seem to, for a lack of better terms, act like grade school kids and throw rocks at the "not-so-popular" kids that are across the street. I just think that we need to stand behind the team rather than break them down. Maybe it is the father in me that just can't understand why "we" as the fans, sit behind the computer screen and "throw rocks". Yes we can criticize, but couldn't we keep it from being personal? Remember that these are just "kids" and I'm sure that they are doing the best they can.
So I'll start out and say something positive and hopefully we can at least knock some of the negative threads off the first page.
I'll say something about Martinez since he seems to be getting the most flak. He started the game 6/8 I believe. So that should tell us that the potential is there. Yes it needs polished, and yes it like won't ever be "great". However, I do believe that he can be good and lead the team to win a lot of games.
This is just my two cents
I appreciate your 'two cents'. Here's mine: I will support our team no matter what. While it was a big game, it was only one game. I thought we played great first quarter. We went with them toe to toe. I actually don't think that Wisconsin is that good. If they didn't have Wilson, what would they have looked like? We'll find out next year when he's gone. I liked it that Wiscy was a little rattled that first quarter. We knocked their qb on his backside a couple of times. That first quarter was good football.
So, GBR! BEAT BUCKEYES!
What did we learn???

We learned that our fans can be counted on to be really loud and sustain that 'loudness' throughout the game!
We learned that our coaches are good coaches no matter what the media and other people say.
We learned that our team NEVER EVER EVER GIVES UP! GBR!!!
