Lol this is such a boomer take.

Husker fans are the epitome of loyalty - it's teetering on masochism at this point. This program has a great many flaws, but the fanbase is not one of them. If anything, the fanbase is the lone bright spot in these last 10 years.

Thanks guys. Nice to get a different perspective.

  2. I read this on Facebook today. Wondered what folks here think? Part of me agrees with the poster but another part of me thinks the over 21 adults (coaches) need to step up their game as well. Here’s what I read:

We Husker fans need to do better.

We are all the talk right now in college football, and it's not positive attention.

But I'm not here to complain about Frost, the players, the staff, the program, the way it once was...

I'm here as a genuine concerned fan.

A bit of a momma bear if you will.

As a college instructor, I am with 18 to 22 year olds daily.

    These. Are. Kids.

Trust me, they think they're adults. Remember when you did too at their age? How'd that go for ya?

You are tearing these kids up game after game, expectation after expectation, pressure after pressure.

And now, we've managed to put a man's job, one he loves, respects, and works his butt off for, on the literal shoulder pads of 18 to 22 year olds.

    Step up, Husker fans.

There has been a fall from grace, but it's not only on the shoulders of this coach, these kids, or this program.

    It's on us, too.

So we either learn how to cheer louder, in both wins and losses, or continue watching the weight of the world crush a program we all love so much.

Let's take on some blame and become the world's greatest fans once again.

    Go Big Red.

Silver lining- maybe trev will invent a new rule. If HCSF ever has an impulse he must run it by his assistants first.

Frost may well be the stupidest coach ever

Ok this is what I don’t understand: Why is Scott still calling plays? Isn’t that what we hired Whipple for because I’m sure that guy was shaking his head at the absurdity of an onside kick! Let Coach Whipple do his job!

On the offensive side, IMHO, this is the only year they have received coaching to try and "develop" them.  Held and Verduzco should have been let go after 2019.  No one on O was developed.  Defensively today, I have no idea what happened.  503 yards to NW.....Chin and Co, IMHO can develop.  BUT looking at it now, it took them 4 years to get what we saw last year.  Look at how many new faces on D today.  And it "might" take 4 years to develop.

On average, bowl games get you an additional 12 practices.  We have not bowled in 5 years thus missing approx 60 practices.  That's huge.  Other teams we are playing now (looking at seniors) have received almost 2.5-3 more seasons of coaching than NU has.  That can't be understated.  Throw in that,  a below average staff and bone headed plays makes it  almost impossible to win.  And missing the bowl practices means that the younger kids get even less coaching as you are trying to get ready for the season.....

Thank you. It’s refreshing to get a sensible response instead of a flippant emoji.

It's an evolution of what TO was running.  Uses some triple option off of RPO at times.  Has a very balanced attack regarding pass to run ratio.  Can use 2 back sets when needed by bringing slot into backfield or the TE.  It is fun to watch for sure.

Couldn’t our coaches do that? Develop those kind of plays?
