  1. Channel 4 news out of Oklahoma City just said that Reggie Smith has eliminated Nebraska as one of his choices. They said it is down to Oklahoma and USC, if that is true, lets hope it is USC.
  2. Recruiting experts. Look at what teams finished in the top 5 in the country and then look where there recruiting classes rated. I don't think any of the top five team in the country had a recruiting class that was rated in the top 10. Look at Texas, they have year in year out, the best recruiting class and can not win the big one. Callahan is dreaming if he thinks recruiting will solve all his problems. He needs to spend sometime looking at his staff and what changes need to be made there. WE NEED SOME NEW COACHES, AT LEAST DEFENSIVELY.
  3. It is a known fact that the Raider players quit on Callahan during the second season, well Nebraska players quit on him during his first year. You can not fool players, they know if the coaches are doing the right things, it does not take long to figure out that the coaches do not know what they saying or doing. I have never seen a Nebraska club with so little spark as this year. Changes need to happen, weather its Callahan or some of his assistants, something needs to change.
  4. We can give him two years, three years, it doesn't matter. The guy can not coach. How long before the stadium is empty? We are moving in a backwards direction, not forwards. There has been nothing forward about this program this year. Solich and his new staff would have done a better job and won more games. We don't know what recruits the new staff would have brought in, they were never given the chance, but they could coach. Peterson and Callahan are jokes, face it boys.
  5. I have heard enough of new offense, new system, we don't have the players to fit that system, bull. We have some talent, good coaching staffs find the right plays for the rights group of guys, this staff has done a terrible job. Defensively, we have been out coached every second half of every game. This present staff is always begging for patients, instead of coaching their tales off. We can bring in the number one class in the nation and with this staff, we will lucky to win 8 games. This staff can not cut it in the Big 12. Giving them more time will only diminish the support that the huskers do have at the present time. Callahan needs to make some coaching changes as soon as the season is over, or his head may be on the chopping block. THIS STAFF AS A STAFF IS TERRIBLE.
  6. I am as mad as anyone, but lets get behind them and support the redout for this Saturday. Maybe, just maybe crowd noise could make a difference. Let's go out and give them our best, maybe they will give their best.
  7. Cut and paste, send it in a email to Steve Peterson. I think he needs to hear what is being said and how his job may be on the line.
  8. As long as I can remember, our offense run like a well oiled machine, Saturday, it look like the wheels had disappeared and we were running on empty. Callahan needs to cut the play book down to 25-30 plays and perfect them, it is very obvious that we can NOT run more than that. Saturday was a disgrace.
  9. I can't believe it, 60 point blow-out. I wonder how Steve Peterson feels now, it was a lot easier to watch K-State , Colorado, and Texas beat us than watch that last night from the stands. Steve Peterson is on the way to breaking all kinds of records, NO BOWL GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 36 YEARS!!! This is a joke, a coaching staff that does not make adjustments at half time, we have been beat every game in the second half. We are fast becoming the joke of the country, thanks Peterson and Callahan. SAD STATE OF AFFAIR.
  10. Son and girl friend would like to see a game in Lincoln. Need two tickets to CU game, can be reached at allan@cabledirect.net
  11. I don't care who he can recruit, if he can not teach fundamentals, like hanging onto the ball, we won't win anything. Two weeks in arow, turnovers, turnovers. We are in for a long year with Callahan at the reins.
  12. I think Steve Peterson has put his job on the line with the way he has handled this mess. Yes, maybe Callahan is a good hire, but the way the situation was handled was not very professional or ethical. If we do not win the Big 12 next year, I think Peterson and his boss need to go. The sooner, the better.
