Do any of you wish he wasn't told to lose his weight? He seemed better to me last year, and was really able to lower the shoulder and blow people over last year.

I wouldn't say "another heart breaker". Yes, today was a heart breaker because we came so close, but we played great and showed improvement. The last time we played Tech was not a heart breaker, it was an a## kicking and an embarrassment and a glimpse into the future with Callahan. Actually last time we played tech we lost 34-31 after a D-lineman (Smith??) fumbled the ball after an interception.

I know what really caused the loss. I just hate losing the close game. Hope we are ready for Iowa State next week. Will be nice to snap this L streak!!

I think the zone blocking scheme can work in college. Chadron State uses it, and Danny Woodhead had a lot of success with it, but then again, he was a stud!!

I don't hate them because they have beaten us lately, I have never liked them.

This off-season, I kind of liked our chance more so against texas tech than missouri. I like that their qb is not mobile. Sometimes those spread pass teams can get hot and cold. Would be nice to get them on a bad day. You never know, crazier things have happened. ok, ok, I'll wipe my red koolaid mustach off my face.

I have to admit, I thought he would get it done faster, but I was under the impression that the offense would pick up where it left off from before and carry us a little this year and help with time of posession, since it was a similar style, we had a lot returning, and offense staff had some retention from the old staff.

You guys are acting like this past game was an isolated event. We've been improving under Pinkel for many years, and we're not going anywhere. Your team on the other hand seems to be going backward, sliding into Baylor territory. It's time you guys take a long look at your program and prepare for a few years of mediocrity. You're just not a good team anymore. It sucks, but accept it. Southeast Missouri gave us a better game than Nebraska did. Just be thankful Pinkel has class and didn't hang 70+ on you like all of us wanted him to do. I wouldn't say you've been steadily improving. Weren't you guys about to run pinkel out of town until you fluked out on chade daniel? Interesting to see if you guys win 7 or 8 next year.

I don't consider Mizzou to be a rival, or Colorado. I just hate them, but I don't want either to have the satisfaction of being our rival.

I think that it's a talent difference. Most of the time you see players not be real effective until they get older. Even back in the day when we rean option, qb's and other positions weren't really good until their junior or senior year. I think it takes a really special player to be an immediate impact on their team as a fresh.

I think it's a lot of things. Sometimes the wr's aren't open, and he chooses not too scramble or throw the ball away. Sometime's wr's are rediculously wide open and he doesn't see them. Sometimes he really seems to lock on wr's on those roll out passes when he gets picked for a td. To me, he doesn't look real comfortable in the pocket, but with o line play, who can blame him. I think some of these reasons are probably why Keller started in front of him last year. He just lacks consistency. Hopefully within the next few weeks he starts making more of those homerun plays and less mistakes than so far this season. He's got a lot of heart and is a great leader and I know the players are all behind him.

In what respect were they fantastic? dude, didn't you hear, they were fantastic in every area last year!!

Have you guys paid attention to the text in voting that they use at the games. We need to get older people to learn how to text. So far the ones I remember...like the greatest win at home, 01 vs. OU over the 94 CU game? The most important Nebraska play, 01 pass to crouch over the 71 johnny Rogers punt return for a TD in the game of the century? What the heck?

This weeks was pretty negative. I'll try and be more positive next week. I was a little grumpy after last night's loss.

That can sure make a bad game even worse. I am in the south end zone and I had about 4 tiger fans around me, but they were all good sports during the game. They cheered for their team, but were respecful the whole time.

I'm tired of the references on the husker tunnel vision about the blackshirts when the defense comes out, and when they show the starting lineup they call the oline the pipe line. We have neither of these. Also, I would love to not see any black shirts or black jerseys at the games for the rest of this year. Any references to blackshirts to this defense is a huge slap in the face to Charlie McBride and the great players that played for him, especially in the 90's.

Hey, I'm glad you all are thinking what I am thinking then. I must work with too many nay-sayers who get me down for always being excited for the game and hoping for the win. GO HUSKERS!

With all the talk about Missouri snapping the losing streak in Lincoln, and this is a rebuilding year, etc.... I was wondering if anyone is looking forward to the game this weekend with a little optimism? I'll be at the game yelling my loudest and cheering my hardest for the skers just as I did last year, but does anyone out there think it's still ok to expect or hope for a win?

you know how bo said we didn't have a name for our offense? I got it! we run the spreadcoast. The worse parts of the westcoast mixed intricately with the worse parts of the spread.

i agree we need to be done with the b******* crap. We are scarlet and cream. There is no black in our colors. We currently do NOT have blackshirts. We have not had a true blackshirt defense since 1999 in my opinion. People need to quit calling our defense blackshirts, and showing that symbol on our huskervision. It is a tradition I would rather not try to force on and give the true blackshirts a bad name. Just like our "pipeline" references to our people impersonating an o-line.
