We don't NEED a playoff, you WANT a playoff. There is a difference. There hasn't been a playoff in over 100 years of Div. I college football history, what is so different now that everyone wants one? Whats the difference you ask? I will tell you, parity! In the old days, you would only have one or two decent teams at the end of the year, therefore the system worked. But in the past decade or so, we have seen a rise in the number of truly competitive teams. Then, with the implementation of the new recruiting and roster rules (keeping big schools from stockpiling players), you see several school's having much better recruitment classes. Screw history, that's what I say. We want these kid's to play their hearts out every week, but we tell them "you have no shot at a championship" just because of the school you go to. The BCS is a complete disaster and it will only get worse.

So a 13-0 no name school with a blue field isn't playing strong all year long, even when beating all odds to upset some over-rated program in 2006? We NEED a playoff, period. For far to long too many great programs get left in the dark for a championship. We saw last year how many powerful school's there were and a playoff system would have made last season unforgettable! Who knows, Texas, Utah or USC could be our National Champions right now. Tell me what other sport's rely on some dumb computers to determine who is deserving of a shot at glory?

Unfortunately for Nate Swift, Correll Buckhalter stands to see more playing time in Denver then he does. The Bronco's are stacked with Wideout's (13 including Swift) And with a crappy Quarterback at the helm, the Bronco's will be a heavy run team this year. We know that (barring any more criminal behavior) Marshal, Royal and Stokley will be the starting 3.

Those darn helmets were a nightmare to do, the Tampa bay one mostly. Had to recolor it a hundred different times, lol. I ran a re-render with a new style of lighting, but it isn't much better. I know it's not a normal Wicked Shadows set of walls, but I wanted to try and expand my style of work. Everything in these walls is custom made, including the field's grass, which in it's own was a nightmare to create. Ok, well this has been a backburner project waiting for the Blackshirts to be handed out. This is not my best work, as I made the text and fell in love with it, but it was all originally designed around Cody Glenn (who in case you didn't know was suspended indefinitely) who I replaced with a not so good shot of Zach Potter. This may cheer you all up a bit after last night, lol. If you saw my last set of wallpapers (posted HERE) Then you will recognize this moon. I wanted to make it even cooler and create a Wicked space scene. 1280x1024 And this one is just crazy cool. I wanted to do a less complex looking wallpaper, which ended up being VERY complex! It looks simple, but there is a TON of stuff going on in this wall and it sits as a 27 layer, 45MB .psd file on my hard drive! 1280x1024

Man that brought back some great memories for me though. Those were the good ol' day's of Husker football there kids, lol.

Lucky had 5 carries for 8 yards in the first half, Helu had 6 carries for 87 yards. Lucky is a good RB, but Helu IMO is better and the type of RB this team needs in order to gain those tough yards and power through tackles. I agree, Helu is way better, but look how awesome Lucky played last week. Lucky should be lined up as a receiver (since he's much better at that) and keep Helu in the backfield.
