  1. Can you tell me what the home jerseys would have looked like around 1952? I'm looking to make a replica of what my Grandpa would have worn when he was at Nebraska. I've seen pictures of some of the vintage jerseys, I guess I'm wondering if they would have had the stripes on the arms in 1952? I've seen both plain and striped in some of the old pictures I've seen. Anyone out there able to help me out? Thanks!
  2. I was able to splice "Hot Seat Callahan" out of either Thursday or Friday's podcast. Is there anyone who's tried that for the others?
  3. I realize this isn't game related, but does anyone have most if not all of the "Severe Callahan's" from 1620 the zone? Or know where one could find them? I would love to find them! Thanks!
  4. As a South Dakotan myself, I would say that I see a large number of Husker fans. I think if they are Husker haters it is either because they went to a competing school like Iowa State (or another large school like Minnesota) or they don't like college football in general and grew up around fanatical Husker fans that must have annoyed them somewhere along the way.
  5. Ok, I realize this is kind of out of place considering the beat down we received last night from an overpowering USC team....BUT, I've been trying to put together a bunch of songs for an "album" (basically) for my mp3 player for working out. What kinds of songs would you all recommend? I'm thinking mostly of the songs they play when the Blackshirts come out, and other songs that get your blood pumping and make you think of smash-mouth Husker football. So far I have songs like: Hail Varsity Band Song/Dear Old Nebraska U Husker Beat - Mikey Bo (I realize the tunnel walk video is really terrible, but the song is quite good) Sirius Back in Black - AC/DC Enter Sandman - Metallica Lights Out - POD Blow Me Away - Breaking Benjamin Saturday Night - Nickleback & Kid Rock One Step Closer - Linkin Park The Red - Chevelle Thats a few of what I have so far, but would like much more. Those of you that go to games regularly and know the other songs they play, or other favorites of yours do post them. Got to get re energized and geared up for next week and the rest of the season.
  6. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? Since the day I was born....Jan. 1, 1983....the day NU beat LSU in the Orange Bowl. Really started becoming a fan in the early nineties, 90/91 2) What/who led you to The Nation? My Grandpa, went to NU and was on football scholarship until he injured his knee 3) Where are you from originally? Brandon, SD 4) Where do you live now? Sioux Falls, SD 5) Favorite Husker memory? My first experience in the Sea of Red, Nebraska vs. Missouri, 1996, the other favorite memory is the Nebraska vs. Florida Fiesta Bowl, all of the hype leading up to it, and such a Nebraska dominated game, all game long! 6) Worst Husker memory? Besides the USC game last night? KSU @ NU in 2003(?), I was able to be at that game, what a dissapointment! 7) Number of home games attended? 5 8) Number of away games attended? 0 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? Hmmmmm.....my custom jersey w/ # 3 and my nickname JT on the back though I want one with the elastic on the sleeves, just like the real ones. 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) Anywhere in Memorial Stadium, or on my HD TV 11) Favorite all time player? Eric Crouch 12) WCO or Option? I think I will like the WCO, once it starts proving itself in high profile games. 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Billy Byrne 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Lil Red....but I like the newer Herbie 15) Favorite Husker play? Hmmmmm......either Eric Crouch's long run against Mizzou or the long Tommy Frazier TD against Florida 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Powerade 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) Link from a Husker site Glad to be here!
  7. That K-State team was very good, but it was 7-7 at halftime, we were hanging with them. It could have been a MUCH closer game. Solich was never able to finish games strong, IMO. I'm not trying to take sides in some BC vs. FS argument, just my 2 cents worth. It was really embarrassing to have to sit through that game. I make it to a game once every few years, and to sit through that beating was awful. Not that those of you who were lucky enough to go to last nights game didn't feel the same way!
  8. Bo knows how to put a defense together, that's for sure. Watching the LSU game I couldn't help but think, why did we ever let him go? I don't want to hate on our coaching staff, but BC should have kept him around. I sure hope we can refocus and give USC a run for their money on Saturday!
