If I weren't a Sooner fan I would be a Husker fan for sure. You guys and gals up there in Nebraska are top-notch, and I really mean that. Turn it around Huskers, and soon: I know you will.

You could be right. I also think that there is less of a talent differential than most people realize, and emotion plays a big part. This year, with all of the top teams losing feeds that feeling, with many of the smaller, less distinguished teams feeling they have a shot. I also think technology plays a huge role. Look at what you can do to analyze the other team these days with the Internet and all. Anyway, if Iowa State pulls of the upset, which I still don't think they will, they certainly deserve it. I want my Sooners to win; it doesn't have to be big, I just want a win. And oh, BTW, GO HUSKERS!

This year has to be the weirdest in college football history. ISU is taking it to Oklahoma and they don't appear to be letting up. Oh well, anything can happen any given day!

The Aggies are ready for Fran to go. They have one of the largest football budgets in the nation, as well as top-notch facilities and this guy (Fran) has seriously underperformed and will get the boot, although probably at the end of the year. He's bad (Fran), but he's not a first-rate arse like Callahan. No slight to Huskers or their fans intended; Taliban Callahan needs to go in a big way so Husker football gets back on the right track. Same for Fran and the Aggies; they used to be fearless with a punishing D and now they strike fear in nobody.

As much as I am a Sooner fan, why does your family cheer for the Sooners? If we had family members that cheered for the opponent, for no reason, we'd disown them! Seriously, why would they not cheer for your Huskers? Have you asked them? I read into it that he might live in Oklahoma or his parents went there. He might be the one thats disowned Usually it's just a kid rebelling against the norm. Good point, I didn't think of that. If that's the case, then he actually might be the one that's disowned. Got a question. Is the game going to be televised at all today? I think it'll be a much better game than OU/ISU and I'd like to watch but I'm guessing it won't be televised.

This guy (Callahan) is a complete A$$. Did anyone read the Yahoo Sports article about how he wouldn't let former Nebraska greats on the field, yet he'll allow a WWF Wrestler down there? He wouldn't even allow Johnny Rodgers onto the field. That's blasphemy! One of the first things Stoops did at OU was to reconnect with the past greatness and it payed off in huge dividends. Callahan is trying reshape Nebraska football in HIS image and it's just plain WRONG. I hope this b*stard is gone before the end of the season. Go Huskers, get rid of this guy and return to greatness. Well, all except for that part where he lays the OU player out cold. Great video though. I sure would like to meet Coach Osborne. I know he's an ex Congressman and all, but he's still "Coach Osborne" to me.

tceh fan GiveMeSome? Aggies are tradition rich, even if some don't like those traditions. I have to say I've always felt safe at Kyle Field, and have been treated with respect. That says a lot about a program. Aggies have a code of honor as well; you have to like that, especially with the dog-eat-dog world today where it's every man for himself.

It was the game of the year, every year for me. It was special because it was on Thanksgiving, and nationally televised. Man, those times were special. TempleAgg, I hope you have a great time in Norman on the 3rd. I wish the Aggies well for the rest of the season; they too are a team that I hold in high regard, right behind Nebraska. Kyle Field is an awesome venue, on of the great stadiums in college football. Us Okies have a special bond with Husker fans because of our history, and the way Nebraskans have always been gracious hosts and guests, regardless if its win or lose.

You guys are the best. I hope to see the Big Red N go up big, in support of the regime change.

You know, I sound like some bleeding heart. But it IS important to me and I have a great deal of respect for you guys (and gals!). I'm 46, and remember the good old days and hope that it returns, at least in terms of Nebraska getting the respect that it deserves. Sorry to be so teary eyed but I love the Big 8 days and our Thanksgiving Day games. Can anyone blame me? It was when times were good. I know change happens, but why can't we change back? I look forward to the rebirth of Nebraska football.

Nebraska is not corrupt. You have a tradition of honor and unlike many programs you don't "sell-out" for simple money. The only thing that is happening is that people are ensuring that the great Nebraska tradition continues, after the hiccup called "Callahan." Go BIG RED!

Thanks EVERYONE for the good thoughts. I do hope OU brings home a trophy this year, but it is a long road to hoe. With the right stuff, Nebraska will be right back in the mix very soon. As well you should jb61264! I wouldn't expect anything less. Your players always hit hard (slobberknockers!) and play a clean game. I have about as much respect for Coach Osborne as I've ever had for any coach. I think not only Sooner fans but fans all over the college football world are rooting for the Huskers to come out of this. You deserve the best. I've been to several games and interacted with many a Husker fan. I've never met a better group of fans in my entire life.

I know this is only my opinion, and I'm an outsider, but I think what happened today confirms that the Husker Nation is ready to do something about what I perceived to be a mess. I don't know how an AD or coach for that matter could take a storied program like Nebraska and reduce it to mediocrity, but apparently they did, and NOW the Husker Nation has said "We aren't going to take it anymore!" I hope you choose one of the best coaches in the nation and you return to prominence in spectacular fashion as soon as possible. You have the facilities, the talent, and especially the support of some of the best fans in college football.

I've always heard rumors about Oklahoma fans being rude and stuff, but everyone I've ever met (and this includes all of them at the Championship last year) have been very kind and very pleasant. Welcome. And you're right. This farce of a WCO with Bill "The Moron" Callahan should've ended before it began. This is all the direct result of one Athletic Director trying to make the program over in his image. It's a sad, sad sight. X Hey, you're welcome x. I have a great deal of respect for the Husker Nation because of your fans, and of the great games played between our schools. I may be a Sooner fan, but honestly believe that Nebraska fans are arguably the most decent fans in football. I'll probably get kicked in the arse by other Sooner fans for saying that but you guys up there in Lincoln (and the rest of the state of Nebraska) are a class act and deserve the best.

Pardon an outsider stepping in, I know this is Husker business and all. I hope those in charge do the right thing and get some people in there worth of being Husker football coaches. This sham that's been going on with the current staff has got to go. The players aren't playing up to their potential because it appears they've lost the drive, and that is directly attributable to the coaching staff. I hope to hear good news for Husker fans. I'd love to see y'all with a real hard-nosed, kick a** football coach and return to the ranks of the elite where you belong. Cheers all.

You nailed it. Nebraska football needs to be great again. It's like living in some kind of parallel universe with the crap that has happened in the last two weeks with your program. I have great respect for Nebraska and her fans and feel a great deal of empathy over what you must be feeling right now. It will turn around, I just hope it's soon. I don't think true college football fans take any joy in the current state of Nebraska football. I wish you and your team all the best and will raise a fist in the air of solidarity when you turn that corner back to greatness that is real Nebraska football.

Coach Osborne is a true gentleman and I miss him being on the sidelines on Saturdays. One of the best college football coaches there ever was, in my opinion.

The Husker Nation WILL turn it around, mark my words. This year is pretty much a wash, I'll admit, but Nebraska deserves much better than this and will get it. Hang in there Huskers, here's a Sooner fan that is rooting for you BIG TIME. Huskers and their Fans = Class. And I'm serious.
