  1. simply put...........maybe. I am not extremely familiar with either schools facilities. Is there something that would give one school the edge? At first glance I would say Nebraska just based off of tradition. Thoughts? What candidates could both schools be looking at?
  2. So Joe, who are you going to cheer for when Mizzou and Kansas play?
  3. Notre Dame is the laughing stock of college football.
  4. I would completely agree that Nebraska has a target on its back, even more so than OU at least as far as Mizzou is concerned. I think part of it with Mizzou is that we have had some recent success against Nebraksa winning three times in a row at home. I think our fans still think we will lose to OU, but now we think we have a chance to beat NU, and that has brought out the worst in some people.
  5. I want Nebraska too be good again, but I want Missouri to still beat them when they are good again!
  6. Your list of A-hole fans though seem to be growing, CU, KSU, KU, Mizzou, ISU, and so forth, let's not forget your lack of love for Texas Tech, do you see my point? Every school has A-holes, sure some may seem to have a few more, but like a previous poster said, if you go looking for trouble, you will probably find it. I would love nothing better then to go to a game in Boulder with you, go to The Sink for a pizza, perhaps this little Nepalese place and then go to a game, if anyone did anything remotely possible that made you feel like you were going to get your ass kicked I would be the first one to get in front of the punch. Make no mistake, I dislike the Cornhuskers more then you could know, but I want the action to take place on the field, not in either stands. I was at the CU Mizzou game this week and saw absolutely nothing bad happen. In fact, a couple of drunk Mizzou fans were talking smack as some Colorado fans were filing out of the stadium in the 3rd quarter. The CU fans were bigger and outnumberd the Mizzou fans, but the CU fans just ignored them and walked off.
  7. I took the liberty of fixing the photo, It seemed as though that guy was wearing a mask. Here is the original: That is the funniest thing I have seen in weeks. Possibly better than any Mangino photoshoping job.
  8. I think Mizzou would have a very good chance of beating Oklahoma. If you look at the stats from that game, we actually outgained them. We were leading going into the 4th quarter. A few costly mistakes are what cost us that game. I think it is hard to beat a team twice, and I would like our chances on a neutral field. I would also argue that our one loss to Oklahoma given what I said about makes us a better one loss team than West Virginia certainly, who lost to South Florida and possibly even Oregon who lost at home. Unfortunately, past tradition has a lot to do with poll votes and that is what is hurting Mizzou right now. A lack of tradition will also make KU drop far in the polls when they do lose.
  9. Oh, I completely agree that Cosgrove should be gone. In fact, I think he should probably man up and resign. Saying that on a message board and putting a for sale sign in his yard however, are two different things. I hope you get that piece of glass out of your foot, and I hope you get some new shoes soon!
  10. I was highlighting your post because I agree with what you said at the top about Cosgrove's family, and I was not trying to insinuate that you specifically are not classy. My point is really that Nebraska fans overall like to say they are classier than any other fans. Often times the reasoning given is examples from things that a small minority of opposing fans at away games. What is happening to Cosgrove's family shows that there is a negative minority of Nebraska fans too. Overall I am just saying that Nebraska fans are no more or less classy than any other fan base. I think it is important not to judge anyone by the minority of fans who do things like have been discussed against coaches families or to visiting fans.
  11. I don't mean this to be a flame, but yesterday there was a big discussion about fanbases and negative experiences some have had at opposing venues, namely Boulder. I think hearing stories like this about how Cosgrove's family has been treated is what makes some other fans so mad when they hear Nebraskan's say they are the classiest fans and then maken generalized statements about how bad the fans of other teams are based off of a few bad apples. All of our fan bases have good and bad fans. I think it is probably important to not judge any fan base by its worst or best members. Like most things, the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.
  12. That's it. And which game was it where TO gave Mizzou a note telling them the four plays that NU was going to run in the 2nd half? No other plays, just those four? Mizzou still couldn't stop it! If that actually happened, I would say that is the definition of classless. That shows no respect for the opposing team. I would rather a team run up a score than do something like that.
  13. KU is going to kick the crap out of Mizzou. Bet on it. What is your reasoning? Why do you think KU is better than Mizzou?
  14. Doesn't have a chance??? They control their own destiny in beating KU and OK, that will put them 4th, and I'm sure 1, 2 or maybe all 3 of the teams ahead of them could lose. I'd say that's a pretty good chance! Yes, I'm a Mizzou season ticket holder, since my son is a student there but I wore RED at that debacle in Columbia on Oct 6th. I hope your son is having a good experience here at Mizzou. Here is another reason to cheer for MO: The two opponents who MU and KU have shared (CU & NE) have scored a total of 16 points against us, and 52 points against KU. We scored a total of 96 and KU scored at total of 95. Since defense wins championships, I'd say we have a slight edge.
  15. congrats dipsh*t, you have just caused the entire Husker Nation to root for Missouri to win the game against your Jobba the Hut coached GAYhawks all by yourself. Its to bad you cannot be like the rest of the KU fans that post here [/quot Unfortunately, I have to go to work tomorrow and listen to a bunch of crap from a few jackass KU fans, just like I'll have to listen to the d******d KSU fans after that game. You know, I never said a word to these people for years while we were kicking their tails. But they take any chance to rub it in. it will only make the future sweeter KU's combined opponents record: 29-51 Let's see how they do next year when they play South Florida, Texas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech
  16. Combined record of KU's oponents to date: KU's combined opponents record: 29-51 MU vs KU on the board!! exciting. unfortunately this guy is a classic troll. post one topic and then leave I haven't been on here for very long, but I have been around most of this season, and I am not trolling. LOL I was talking TO you, not about you My bad, sorry if I got a little defensive. I got miss quoted and attacked earlier today for a seemingly benign post.
  17. Combined record of KU's oponents to date: KU's combined opponents record: 29-51 MU vs KU on the board!! exciting. unfortunately this guy is a classic troll. post one topic and then leave I haven't been on here for very long, but I have been around most of this season, and I am not trolling.
  18. don't you just love bandwagon fans? I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that KU was making people buy football season tickets in order to get the rights to buy basketball season tickets.
  19. Combined record of KU's oponents to date: KU's combined opponents record: 29-51
  20. Big 12 if 4, 5 & 6 with KU, OU and MU
  21. I think it is entirely possible that the fans will kill each other.
  22. Nice post and great point. I am also glad to hear of your positive experience at Mizzou. In my experience with our fans, it has not necessarily been the frat boys that have been the problem, but the 23-30 year olds who still haven't grown up.
  23. I think/hope Mizzou still has an outside chance at a national championship. If we beat two top 5 teams in KU and OU back to back to finish the year, it would be hard to argue that we aren't the best one loss team. At this point I would argue our loss to OU is better then the West Virginia loss to South Florida. Oregon will likely not lose again, but I think it is still possible for LSU and Ohio State to lose.
  24. No offense taken. I of course will be cheering from Mizzou.
