  1. I like that. I would change it just a little and say the AD has to go. If we get a real AD, the head coach will go soon. Steve Pederson has to be fired soon.
  2. You are going to watch a lot of terrible football. I used to go to the games when Bill Jennings was the head coach and that was very painful. Much like the 2007 Huskers.
  3. Good chance we won't win again this season. The team has lost confidence and that is impossible to overcome even with great coaching. We won four...that's the name of that tune. Get used to it because this is the new look of Husker football with Steve Pederson as AD.
  4. I've seen it before. The '67 Sugar bowl when Bear Bryant's Crimson Tide ran all over the Huskers. I was at that game and the Huskers had great big linemen and Alabama had smaller but much faster players. Devaney started recruiting speed instead of bulk and look what happened. The '71 Huskers were one of the best college teams of all time. Speed and size is possible, but we don't have the speed now.
  5. I sent this to each of the Regents the other night. Hoping to plant a seed, at least... http://www.nebraska.edu/board/board_members.shtml But....the real fallguy ought to be Steve Pederson. Get rid of a coach or two here and there and the main problems remains.....Pederson!
  6. I completely agree. There are fans that have never been to a Husker football game in Lincoln, like myself and would love to see them play....not matter how bad or good. I think keeping the sellout streak is very important for the Huskers. If you want to send a statement, send a statement in writing about what you think about the coaches. Last night was just a plain embarrassment for me. The defense just gave up and put their heads down. I even saw Lucky in the second quarter walking around with his head down. These coaches need to find out what is going to make these guys go and use it. Coz needs to go, we all know that. The big question is when and who has the cajones to step up and get rid of him? I really sympathize with all you fans who have never been to a game. I started going to games at Memorial stadium in 1948. I hate to say this, but I know enough personal stuff about Pederson to opine that he will never pay a bit of attention to letters, or such. The only way to get through his arrogance would be financial pressure on the Administration. A small boycott of a couple of home games isn't going to do that. What needs to happen is to get to the big donors and help them decide to threaten withdrawing $$$$. And, I think the best idea I have heard so far is to get the regents to force Perlman to fire Pederson and get T.O. to take over as AD.
  7. and TexASS lost!!! I figured OU would win the game but I really was rooting for Texas. We play Texas this year and not OU. The better Texas has perfomed up to the point we play them, the better for us if we win. I suppose that makes sense if it affects how bowl committees vote.
  8. OK, I'm ashamed. When can I start drinking beer? Is it too early?
  9. Very ugly. I don't understand Throw da Bones.......I think we need a defense, not a slogan!
  10. When did they start that? I went to my first Husker game in about 1948. I ushered as a Boy Scout in the '50s. I went to most of the home games for 11 years as a student in Lincoln from the late 60s to the late 70s. I didn't start being a fan yesterday.
  11. What means throw da bones? ARE YOU SERIOUS???? Yup....I are! its a tradition of the blackshirts (skull and cross bones) When did they start that?
