  1. agree, as a chiefs fan as well i would also welcome him to the chiefs. that would give us a good defensive minded coach in herm and a good offensive minded coach for the O in callahan. i think that would be a very good combination considering that the WCO is a ball control offense and that is what Herm likes to run. Three Chiefs fans say "aye" so the motion is carried. Callahan would be welcome in KC as OC if the offer were extended. Raider fan here and as a Raider fan, I would hate to see Callahan as your OC. With that being said, I would also hate to see him be a head coach in the Big Twelve Confrence with a team that has a patient fan base. I'm not a big Callahan supporter, remember he sunk both of my favorite footbal programs, but I think if we (Husker fans) would have been patient enough to let him recruit freshman from the begining, we would be looking at an extreemly potent offense today. Instead he had to go the quick fix, juco route, because we want to win now, yesterday, and tomorrow. Before you start cracking jokes about me being a Raider fan, ask me who was the last AFC West team to win a playoff game.

  3. At the begining of Big Red Wrap Up, he mentioned how Josh Freeman wasn't getting in a rythym because of the ball not being snapped properly. So he was going to ask Sam Keller how it affects a quarterback when this happens. The suspense was killing me . I kept on thinking to myself, ask him Adrian, ask him damit! Instead they just kept on asking these dumb questions about the team, the coaches, going pro, the East West Shrine game, man my nerves were shot. Then finally, Adrian starts to speak. Was this the moment I was waiting a whole hour for? I thought to myself, don't ask him his opinion about the future of this program, the talent that will still be there next year, or his thoughts on this team possibly going to a bowl game. I just wanted to know how Josh Freeman was affected by the quarterback, center exchange. Then he asked him and now myself along with the rest of Big Red Country can sleep better tonight.
  4. good guys 45, Go Seniors!!!!!! bad guys 07 I don't care who our coach is, I can't stand K-State . Go smack them in the mouth!!!!!! rush 220 pass 276
  5. Saying no to TO not so easy , saying no to Stevie P probably alot more easy.
  6. If you want to play MAJOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL , you have to recruit MAJOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYERS and be able to coach them. I love the thought of Turner Gill or Bo Pelini being our head coach, but heart alone is not going to win us National Titles or Big Twelve Titles. If you asked Bo what defense he would rather have , 2003 Huskers, or 2007 LSU Tigers, what one do you think he would pick? You would have to be ignorant to say the 2003 Huskers.
  7. I really like Bo's visceral approach to the game ,the recruiting thing has me a bit worried though Nebraska is not an easy place to recruit to and it does not look like it is going to get any better any time soon
  8. Exactly , need a yard, the o-line pushes the d-line back three.
  9. Lucky is the best all purpose back we have. Does he run people over ? No, but isn't that what you have an offensive line for. Our backs from the past didn't wear their opponents down, the offensive line did. When a running back tries to constantly run the defense over, they end up getting hurt (Cody Glenn). Im not dogging on our o-line either, they're just doing what they're taught, zone blocking, and zone blocking sucks. Let those big fellas line up and smack someone, instead of making them dance with them.
  10. Our situation has alot to do with the fanbase. Our players , many of them, come here because of the fanbase. We chant their names when they are on recruiting trips, our children ask them for autographs before they even step on the field, and there is nothing wrong with this. It's what makes us great fans. But when the same fanbase starts booing, cursing, and degrading them on message boards, it makes me wonder if they maybe are quitting on us, not just the coaches. Don't know if I blame them. The Nevada game, they played awesome, and yes, I know it was just Nevada, not real good, but not that bad either. Then we played a really good , in my opinion, Wake Forrest team and beat them in their own house. Everyone was so hyped for the USC game after we won those first two games. We were getting beat badly, but the players didn't quit during the USC game. Then the :asshat boo birds came out durring the Ball State game and it all has fallen apart since then. The team that played those first two games, wouldn't have gotten blown out the last three games. If the home crowd can pick a team up during a game, they can knock them down just the same.
  11. Clearly you haven't watched Nebraska football this season. X You're right, I haven't. But look at the season scores and the defense hasn't shutdown anyone. Looks like the offense has scored well in all but the last two. The defense on the other hand used to be great also, not much talk on that. I think too much focus on the offense. Defense does win championships ,94,95,and 97, all had outstanding defenses. The WCO can work in college, it just needs to be toned down a bit so the players can actually understand and learn it. It should not take a player two years to learn their offense. Simplify it Bill !!! OOPs , might be too late.
  12. A true parent doesn't quit or crap on their children either. Glad you're not a parent of mine. I don't know if I could handle all of your support.
  13. That is the question . Are you going to support this team for the rest of the season, or are going to give up and cry like beach? It aint over till the fat lady is a singin. I hear a bunch of whining , but I don't hear no fat lady. Don't give up! We ( Husker fans ) are what makes this program great and right now we are loseing that greatness. So, ARE YOU N OUR OUT?????
  14. opponents total yards 2649 plays 462 per play 5.7 per game 441.5 1st downs 174 Nope nothing wrong here just my negativity and imagination that this is the worse Nebraska defense ever. That's called, "overcoming adversity," my friend. After all of that, they are still 4-2!! Not bad, in my book. Fine athletes, fine program, fine coaching . . . let's just hope that the fans show some class! GO BIG RED! Apparently you didn't notice that we're 4-2 by the skin of our butts... We almost lost to Ball St, almost lost to Wake Forest, and got it handed to us by Mizzou, but, we're going to put it on Okie St, 48 - 13... REMEMBER KIDS, THERE'S NO HOPE IN DOPE!!!!! In that case, we won the 97 national title by the skin of our butts. I guess we should just hand the Sears Trophy to Mechicken. Quit pouting , Frankies gone! Go Huskers! Lets turn this bad boy around BIG RED.
  15. First I doubt he came here thinking he would be the headcoach the next year or have to fear that the whole coaching staff would be cut like bait. (Nebraska was known as being very loyal towards their coaching staff at the time.) He only threw his hat in after Solich was fired and he probably was crying and complaining because he knew what a joke the fake interview process that Turner Gill and him went through. Peterson already had his mind made up and the Miami Dolphins screwed that up. It's funny how you think Pellini should have turned around a defense in one year but keep giving BC excuses after four years. It's not like Texas or Missouri were terrible offenses that year either. First I doubt he came here looking to be a lifetime Husker defensive coordinator. As soon as another ship came along, he would have sailed right along with it. Second, he sucks againts QBs that can run. My prediction for this Saturday, Tebow runs all over his defense, like Young and B. Smith, LSU looses.
