  1. Yeah I know but now that lil' voice in the back of my head says "no sh*t? Get a clue & hit the road jack!" I can handle hard fought losses but when there's no passion & it just stings.
  2. And I qoute "Responsibility lies with me & my staff." No kiddin? I don't evn know why I posted this, IT JUST TICKS ME OFF!
  3. Yeah I think so, Cally & Coz hit the road tomorrow and we scrap the roster. You gotta get in these kids head....if you can--we can win a couple games yet. The players & this team are not this bad. COACHING COACHING COACHING! The 1st half was encouraging, the 2nd have was more of the same CRAP. If nothing changes I highly doubt we can win another, Callahan has lost this team and I believe everyone feels it in their heart OR their in complete denial.
  4. B)--> QUOTE(Husker B @ Oct 20 2007, 03:11 PM) 245849[/snapback] I didn't want Pelini back then, and I don't want him now. I want a coach that has proven to be an excellent head coach in college football. Was Osborne?
  5. Oh and remember, this is the same guy who called Osborne a "crusty ol' *uck". He'll get another job don't you worry, it takes a ton more than that to ruin your attraction.
  6. I can't believe some of you are so hard headed. Callahan is gone, he's not trying to save his job, he's not trying to find a special spark in a Freshamn so we can win, he's doing nothing more than biding his time for the buyout! Bringing Marcus out (and I love the kid) at this point in the year is another dumb *ss decision in a long list for Callahan. What kinda message does that send to Lucky & Castille? He lost the team weeks ago, he knows he's gone, the team knows he's gone AND the sooner the better so he don't pull everyone out of their flippin' redshirt.
  7. Your entitled to that opinion of course but honestly I disagree. I would be more dissapointed if the student section did nothing game after game year after year. It's school spirit & school pride...their gonna do things at times that make no sense at all. haha Yes this school belongs to everyone from top to bottom but those kids in the student section play a big part in keeping the juices flowing so to speak. Oh by the way, I do agree with one thing, this is a huge under taking by Coach Osborne, he should be applauded (loudly)! He's quite possibly the most honorable man I've ever met.

  9. EXACTLY. I don't consider it being rude at all, it's passion and we should have a voice in what happens to our university. This is football and the touchy feely stuff is getting old. Don't get me wrong, I feel deeply for these players but suck it up & play the game...that red N on the helmet means something! I feel strongly about this. If you want to spend the week writing letters, creating websites, posting, making phone calls, holding campus rallies, etc. in order to voice your preference for a new coach, I'm all for it. But on Saturday, at the game, we should be using our energies to support the team. If you feel so deeply for the players, don't make them feel any worse by completely disgracing the coaching staff they are trying to work under to win the game. No matter how much you think the coaching staff has disgraced itself, like it or not, the outcome of the games is in their hands. Try to put yourself in the shoes of the players and imagine what a distraction those kinds of chants (and boos for that matter) are on top of all the other distractions. T.O. is in charge and we should all trust him to make the right decision at the end of the year. I certainly have enough confidence in him to do so without the help of the student section on Saturdays. I feel for the players--that they had to be put through this and that blame lies squarely on Pedersons shoulders. To a certain degree I feel sorry for Cally cus' I really don't think he knew what he was getting himself into, it had to be tough knowing you were the 4th choice. That's the extent of the touchy feely stuff for me cus' when the helmet get's strapped on none of that matters anymore. Destructive attitude? Yeah I suppose that's the competitor in me, I played ball for awhile although not at UNL (not near good enough). My compassion meter is pretty tapped out after sitting through last weeks game...sorry. By the way, we stayed through the whole darn thing!!!
  10. Your attitude is destructive, and it is a very large part of the problem. May I suggest a hobby? Problem, what problem? If caring, showing excitement and having passion about what's gonna happen to our program is a problem then we are in trouble! haha

  12. Good Lord, give it a rest. Bill Callahan is the Husker coach, and we will see what happens for the rest of the year. The last few weeks had to be sheer hell on BC, the coaching staff, and the players. Don't add to it. Let the program work. Get a life, and don't add to the problems. Give it a rest!?!?!?! In 4 years Callahan & Pederson managed to tear down what took us 50+ years to build...I don't give .02 about how hards it's been on him. Getting blown away @ homecoming was enough of this fiasco! Don't let the door hit you in the butt.
  13. I know's there's a few of you who don't want Pelini back but I definately think your in the minority. SO let's get the student section going this Saturday just like in the Alamo Bowl...."WE WANT BO!" If we can get it rolling and on the news I think it'll definately make a statement of what Husker Nation wants & deserves! By the way, I could care less what Callahan might think---as far as I'm concerned what better way to send a message not to let the door hit you in the butt. Personally, when I watch him on TV now I just think he looks lost and completely out of his element.
  14. IBR, what's your gut instict on bringing back Bo P.? I know it's early in the process but as you've mentioned this has been going on for a few days and there's no way in the world that we aren't talking to a few potential canidates off the record. I'm on the Bo P. bandwagon and was absoluetely disgusted when we didn't keep him here the 1st time as a HC. yes, he's got fire in his gut and he brings a toughness to the table that we've lacked since his departure...younger version of Charlie Mac in my opinion. I know I'm reaching for some insite that's probably not there yet BUT man that would be awesome!!!!!!!!
  15. Honestly, I think if you put a poll out there for the fans you'd see something like a 60-70% approval for bringing Pelini back. I really don't want an ex NFL coach...we don't want Callahan part 2 and I think that's what you risk in that circumstance. I think (just opinion) the new staff will be Husker heavy with Pelini at the top.
