Lets be realistic...he's okay but a work in progress.  Think about it...we started a QB true freshman today who had only gotten two actual game snaps in his career against a top 25 team and he went off for 318 yards with four TDs and 84 yards rushing and another TD...and he might not even be starting next week.  Same thing happened last year when our walk on 3rd string QB got stuffed into a playing situation and proceeded to run off wins against three top 25 teams and a trip to a bowl.  

My point?  Life's a crapshoot...and they still have Hamms beer in little town bars....and Iowa is full of little towns.

Penalties had another 100 yard game!  Leading rusher on the team yet again...impressive!

This sounds like your typical quote from one of those yapping flea DBs...defensive back or douchebag...take your pick.  They'll grab you, trip you, hold you and after the play is over they'll walk behind you spouting off all kinds of crap because they know when the whistle blows you can't kick the s#!t out of them.  They run away and hide behind a DT whenever one of the big boys show up.  I swear every DB in the Big 8 slept with my mama or my sister.  I wouldn't pay any attention to what this guy said...he's probably the same guy that's going to be crying "He pushed off!!!" when he gets his ass beat next week.  We were taught to ignore them...unless you were on the bottom of a pile with one in which case it was acceptable to bend whatever body part you could reach until they cried.

Bah...all this 5 star recruit crap is getting tiring.  You know the difference between your typical 5 star recruit and a tub of sh*t?  The tub.  I'd put my team of no star recruits out against your top 20 class and not be one bit surprised to kick you all over the field...simply because my scrubs are so the ones that WANT to play football and have to work harder than the "talented recruits" to get to keep playing football.  Yeah, Nebraska sucks so far and this year and Frost hasn't been the Be All End All for the team so far.  But it's hard to be a good team when you feel entitled to your playing time and have bought into the media hype about how good you are.  The onus is on the players here.

Big 12 colleges are located in the worst cities...ah...villages, in the USA.  Why anyone would miss making a trip to Waco or Ames or...gag...Manhatten on a perfectly good Saturday?  Sure...I make the trips now and then but I've been kinda brain damaged since the 80's.

Yep...to poach Campbell it'll cost you 10 million just to start...then you have to add in maybe 2.5 million more for his salary...plus a like amount of money for his staff...looking at 15 million right there.  Then you have to add in what's left of Riley's contract and his staff...along with whatever is left from the Pelini contract...oh, and that AD you just got rid of and the new salary that your new AD commands over and above the fired guy....

How you paying for that?  Maybe with declining ticket prices and merchandise sales?  You want to risk bankrupting the athletic department on Campbell?  More power to you I guess...

Why would Campbell want to go from ISU to Nebraska?  The fans love him, the AD loves him, his players love him, he has a boatload of talent...his talent...coming back for next year.  He's already coaching in a Power 5 conference and building a program HIS way with HIS players.  You really think he'd consider leaving that behind to start over with a program that's in shambles and a team of players who pretty much mailed it in after finding out that winning wasn't automatic just because the had 5 stars out of high school?  

If Nebraska can't get Frost, you better lower your expectations on who Plan B might be because, like it or not, Nebraska really can't be considered a dream job for a head football coach anymore.

I learned that Scott Frost will probably run away from any Husker offer after that performance.  Better get ready to welcome Coach Kingsberry to your football family...
