I understand that you guys all want answers regarding how I know this, and who told me this information. I played under Tom osborne but was not a star by any means. Special team duties for 4 years. I still stay in contact with players from the team. We go to lunch when ever we can to catch up. Now I know a lot of u don't put any worth in what I'm writting, and that's fine. I'm not writting about this specualtion to be a big shot, rather I believe the biggest husker fans (the ones that blog every night) deserve the right to know what is going on in nebraska football. I will not give the identities of my friends because I do not wanted them targeted as players who passed on hush hush information. I just feel like you guys deserve the right to know because we put nebraska football up there with breathing Im taliking to my sources again tom, I'll see if they have anything else to report.

First for all u doubters, my sources are past players that played under Tom Osborne. NOT CURRENT PLAYERS. Osborne has not made a statment about retaining Callahan because he was not sure until recently based on whether or not he wanted to keep him. TO believes in the university of nebraska, he believes in building upon tradition he built. He belives that Callahan will get the job done. He also wants nebraska to maintain it's class, class that most of u have sadly forgotten. Its this class that had us regarded as the best fans in all of college football. That is why he will not give in to the pressure of fans, and do what he knows is right. In the press confrence saturday it will be confirmed that callahan will be given at least 2 more seasons. This is odd, but Osborne wants to let it be known that there is an expectation here at nebraska and if callahan doesnt produce than there will be another evaluation of the head coach. Presumably a more harsh one While I do not agree with this assesment AT ALL. Thats what my sources told me. However, Cosgrove will step down Elmo will step down Bill Busch will step down, this one shocks me becuase he has been a solid recruiter and coach but busch has lost all respect for the fans and is sick and tired of nebraska "living in the expectations from the 90's and not being realistic" WOW

Absolutley not The conversation took place this morning. But i will not give up the identites of the people i spoke with. Let me say this -I find it funny that people say bill is a snake when we lose games but in the past when we won games people loved him. Now that we lose people tarnish his good name. He may have failed us, but we all know better than this. We should have class and not rip people we've never spoken to -Callahan will be given 2 more years. Yes, I know. 2 more years, TO didnt say this directly but my sources said that a big 12 championship, not appearace would solidify his position for years to come. -The players said that they sensed TO did not want Nebraska to become another Alabama funneling coaches in and out and they pointed to the current coach Saban, not getting any different results than Shula despite being paid big bucks.

The things that have been said are pure speculation. If you knew Bill you would know that he is not the type of individual to take shots at others behind their backs. He may not have brought our beloved huskers titles but he has been one of the most active coaches in the community ever to coach at Nebraska. Whether it be his fun run or his involvment in the Make a Wish foundation he is an honorable man. While he has failed as a coach, there is no reason for fans to make him seem like a bad man who tried to sabotage nebraska football. He did his best and apparently will keep doing his best for another couple years.

That's absolutley false. The players have been in constant contact with callahan and there are a few that he has had this conversation with because he respects their opinion's. I will not name the names of these select individuals, but I am 100% positive in their story. They shared TO's opinion because they know coach callahan and believe he is going to restore the program. How they come to that belief I have no idea. Read the LJS Wally

Brace yourselves big red nation for what I am about to say will make some of you very unhappy After speaking with several former players who have spoken to TO regarding the head coaching position, there will be NO change. I was floored! The players said that osborne believes bill is a man of integrity and loyalty, and that this season was simply a fluke. A fluke? I think TO is a genius like all of husker nation. But r u serious? And please I dont want to hear any of this "you just made that up crap" this is 100% accurate. I really wish it wasn't but the players i spoke to said that TO believed in second chances and that one poor season should not require a firing. However, they did say that there would be a couple of staff changes, assuming coz is quiting and that the D -line coach would be promoted to coordinator. WHY!

Offense has been very good no reason to let watson go I like the offense hes running and I dont think anyone can disagree. BRING IN BO or Turner
