I don't understand how UCF media keep saying that there's no chance contact has been made between Frost and Nebraska because Nebraska still has a coach. They really believe that will stop Nebraska from doing what they need to do. This seems so ignorant on their part.

Pretty obvious we’ve already hired our new coach, when that’s going to be officially stated by the university depends on that coaches remaining schedule. So yeah, feelers for assistants very well could be out there

Get a very strong feeling something is announced on Sunday/Monday about Riley stepping down.

Have to think it has to do with respect to the Nebraska football program that is yet to fire their coach, as well as a new head coach an undefeated season. This tweet came at a very poor time, and I would guess Scott is not very happy having this as a distraction for the last couple games.

Was just thinking it is oddly quiet here when the first real news has been broken

I actually feel bad for Mike Riley tonight. All this out there and you gotta get your guys ready to play a top 10 team. Gotta respect the guy still doing his job under these circumstances

It sounds like the prevailing feeling in the coaching community is that Frost will not bring some of his staff to Lincoln. Could be that feelers are being sent around to get an idea of who could follow him to Lincoln. I get the feeling that Moos would advocate having the best possible staff, and not just bringing in buddies like Mike did.

Not at all true. Many rumors could be true but won’t be made public for a couple weeks.

What’s most telling to me is the fact that the Florida media all have a similar feel that Scott is coming to Nebraska. They aren’t saying he will return to UCF, but that he turned down UF because he’s coming here. Couple that with the fact that almost every day Nebraska radio stations are openly talking about Frost while we still have a head coach. You can almost tell many of them want to come right out and give their thoughts but out of respect for the program can only do so in a very hypothetical manner.

Truer words have never been spoken. I have never been on a plane before and been skeptical of my pilot, even though my life is literally in there hands.

Also, Matt Davison has not said anything. Sean Callahan is reading Davison and his mood/thoughts lately saying it would lead him to believe that he knows Scott is coming home.

Heck of a first post

Supposedly Florida and Tennessee Rivals guys are saying that Frost is turning both those jobs down, and they believe he is headed to Nebraska. Another rumor stating that Sean Callahan has a hunch from Matt Davison that Frost is coming home. Another rumor stating that they have heard that Davison will have some role in NU athletic department and the radio staff is already looking for a replacement. I don't know what to believe anymore...

If they think 134 pages is a lot, I don’t even want to think how many pages it will be before we actually know that Scott is our head coach. We haven’t even fired/had our coach retire yet, this thread is just getting started.

I don’t understand this. Nebraska football is so much bigger than one person...even TO. Nebraska football is about so much more. Can’t let one person determine the programs future
