  1. Almost no doubt that Pelini will join NU immediately if they are not in NC game.... this is what is normally the case....most of the times, even the HC leaves for his new job....they will have an interim DC for the bowl game...

Just my opinion....based on nothing but my "empty skull".

I am pretty sure that you are right. Usually coaches will leave if they are not going to be playing in the NC. Lets hope that he will be here right away to start recruiting.

  2. This chili I'm making is going to go nicely with a Mizzou loss!

we should, as much as i would hate to, root for Mizzou to win so the Big 12 has someone in the NC game. if OU wins, Big 12 is out

Also, if Mizzou wins, that should make it very likely that Kansas gets in. If Oklahoma wins, depending on how far Mizzou drops, who knows what will happen. Hopefully the Big 12 will get 2 in the BCS.

  3. Oh by the way this makes 13,000 posts!<<<<<<stands up>>>>>>> "Hi, my name is BIGREDIOWAN and I'm an addict!"

    (Everyone in unison) Hi BRI.

Person in Charge: Welcome to Husker Addicts Anonymous.

he is not just a member......he is also the president

Of course, what was thinking. <_<

  4. Or they didn't want to. I believe all the assistants had their contracts terminated.

I don't think that is right. I am pretty sure that Osborne has only fired Callahan and it will be up to the new coach whether any of the assistants retain their jobs. They will stay on until then.

  5. Myth:

ESPN is an elite news source

It used to be. But now with their sound-bite-driven mentality and their penchant for hiring people who look or sound good rather than who are actually knowledgeable about their sport, they have fallen far from what they once were. ESPN today is simply a shell of its former self, propped up by their past, not their future.

As a whole, the institution that is Nebraska Football is far more solid than that of ESPN. Despite several dozen similar programs across the country, optimism still rides high regarding this football program. Were there to be even ten true challengers to the sports news conglomerate that is ESPN, they’d tumble like a house of cards. Their product is crap, they’re out of touch with the majority of sports fans, and they are nigh on unwatchable most nights. Their “experts” aren’t, their “news” isn’t and their touch is out.

So please don’t quote ESPN articles to me. I have far more respect for what any of us twits on Husker Board have to say than for whatever drivel comes out of Bristol these days.

Good work. That is funny. :rollin:rollin:rollin

  6. When I saw your list I was shocked that you had only 1 Sr on defense. The following will be Sr next yr:

Turner - DE, Potter - DE, Steinkuhler - DT, Barfield - DT, Murrillo - DB. I've got to believe their senior years will all be better than this last year.

As for WR, I think Menelik Holt and Niles Paul will see a lot of time. If Chris Brooks was going to develop, he would have played much more this year.

QB battle will be interesting. Ganz may not have a lock on it because the new HC will probably (hopefully) install a simpler offense that doesn't take 3 yr to learn. Suspect Ganz, Lee and Witt will battle it out. Should be interesting.

Thanks I kinda forgot about the defense. SteinKuhler isnt a senior though he will be a junior according to the husker.com roster.

It shows on both huskers.com and huskerpedia that Steinkuhler is a junior this year. He redshirted in 04 and had played the last 3 seasons.

this is what it shows on the depth chart

Ty Steinkuhler, 6-3, 280, So., Lincoln, Neb.

That is wrong. If you look at the official roster on both sites, it shows him as a junior. Here is his bio from huskers.com and it says Junior.
