Shame on you guys for calling this a do-nothing House! These people are hard at work for the American People.

This may be the funniest froth the right has come up with in recent memory.
The people whose jimmies are in a bunch over this aren't actually affected in any way. They still had their Easter just like normal, they didn't see or interact with any trans people at their family gathering, they weren't forced to do anything related to this proclamation at all.
But boy, are they BIG MAD about this thing that had nothing to do with them whatsoever.

I was pretty busy over the weekend and didn't catch any of this about the texts from regents and Pillen to Trev. So sorry that I'm late to the conversation.
Sipple is saying these texts are "desperate" and "disconcerting."
All of the texts can be found here:
https://www.ketv.com/article/nebraska-leaders-plead-trev-alberts-stay-before-departure/60346005
I don't see anything I'd label desperate or disconcerting. Sounds like they want to retain Trev, which - duh. It's always easier to retain someone than to hire a new person. So of course they're asking him to stay.
But the stuff they're offering doesn't seem any different than what they would have offered to Troy Dannen. 'We'll work with you, give you the resources you need, etc...'
Sipple's article on On3 is behind a paywall so if it's not "wow they were desperate and that seems bad" like the tweet implies, whatever.

So, a President can just arbitrarily move an INTERNATIONAL day.
I'll bet if he had, there wouldn't have been any frothing about stuff Biden does by the Right. I'll bet they'd all have been able to vote for Biden in the upcoming election, too.
But since he ruined Easter and gas is $.67 higher than it was, they're just going to have to vote for Orange Man Bad. If only this tragedy hadn't happened!

Jenner becomes transgender and does quite a bit to try to educate people on the issues and the process.
MAGA shows that they are extreme anti trans.
Jenner then sides with them on the issue.

Yes thanks. We discussed this before. Exceptions can and have been made.
I do find it weird that 3rd party candidates are held to a higher standards than Ds or Rs
Ross Perot never had SS protection.

13%-15% isn't the threshold.

Turns out it has much more to do with existing pagan rituals than it does Christianity.
The hodgepodge of religious rituals that make up Christianity but have nothing to do with Christ is lengthy and many-varied.

What are you guys going to do today now that you can't celebrate Easter?

But I have seen way more than 3 kids cheat.
I believe you.

I've read the past few pages and I have no idea why people who identify as Christian would have a problem with this.
The Jesus you claim to follow would be the first person inviting the people you hate to Easter dinner.
Y'all need to read Matthew 7:21-23 again. If you truly believe Jesus is God, he's speaking about you.
Happy Easter.

I really like the African coffees because of there fruit notes.
I do miss this about African coffee, but honestly my tum-tum is tender and I just can't do that acid.

Starbucks Sumatra dark roast
This and the Komodo Dragon are my favorites. Dark, rich flavor, but without all the acid you get from Central American & African beans.

Ahhhh, got it.
Does it make it "stronger" or just have more flavor, if that makes sense?
Kinda depends what people mean when they say "stronger." To some that means more caffeine, to some more flavor. The press definitely amplifies the flavor.
The amount of caffeine in coffee is tied to how the beans are roasted. Darker roasted coffees lose more water/oil during the roasting process. Caffeine is leached out via that moisture, so the longer the roast, the less the caffeine. Which is a bit counterintuitive to some people, who believe darker roasts are necessarily "stronger" coffee.

What does the press do exactly? I have seen them but never used one, does it change the makeup of the coffee?
Coffee will have better flavor the longer the beans are in contact with the water. In a traditional drip coffee maker, that's a very short time. It's longer with those older perk coffee makers, where the water percolated up through the central stem into the basket with the beans, and circulated over and over. With a press, the beans and water interact for several minutes before you push the plunger down, which screens out the beans from the water (now coffee).

I like black coffee, sort of ashy tasting. The stronger, the better. Typically French Roast, but some places don't roast their beans enough.
My favorite is Peet's, but the best around Nebraska is Starbucks. Even Starbucks is getting weaker because everyone is ordering milkshakes instead of actual coffee.
When I make coffee at home it's French Roast or Komodo Dragon, in a press. Black, no sugar.
