Rex Burkhead has just surpassed 1,000 yards rushing on the season. Superman.

Taylor Martinez has moved past Vince Ferragamo on the NU career passing list in today’s game and is within 40 yards of passing Turner Gill. Should get that this half.

I am going to have a coronary watching our Line block. We have to have the dumbest blocking scheme in history. How many times do we scrape off the man in front of us to get a hat on a second-level defender, only to have the D Lineman passed by make the tackle? And how many times must this happen before we realize this is a losing proposition? We are ten games into the season now. It's time to figure this out, coaches.

I would cringe if that happened. Not sure about Burkhead's throwing... All he does is throw touchdowns!

That is a really, really good question. If Barney isn't out at the end of this season we are in a world of hurt.

Can someone explain WHY our line consistently allows D Linemen to pass through unblocked at the point of attack? What kind of scheme is that? I have no idea who our line is blocking or why. It's astounding.

Honestly, I don't care if we win or lose today. I just want this game over with. No injuries, get on the plane, get back home. The sooner we're done with this situation the better.

See, busy as usual. I think it's important to note that he was immediately shouted down. That's not typical Penn State behavior, from what other fan bases are saying, and from what those who went to Happy Valley in 2002 are saying. You'll hear some idiot saying "F ________" whoever the other team is at a Husker game, and the typical response is for the crowd to tell them to shut their yap. You can't stop every idiot from opening his mouth. What you hope is that the sensible people outnumber the idiots.

They're going to have a pre-game prayer, from what I understand. Both teams involved.

You can get on the field. I do it all the time. I'm just saying they don't allow it, so your best bet is to do the self-guided tour.

Also from BC just now: A college student yelled "F--- Nebraska." He was immediately chastised by a bunch of people. "Hey, be nice, young man," a woman said.

I don't know that it's confirmed that Martin will play TE. But offhand I'd say he's taking snaps from Cotton, not Reed. Cotton has a torn triceps after all. If he does take snaps from Reed, it'll be because of Reed's blocking.

Eric Martin will play a role on offense today. Good God, that's scary.

They won't let you on the field. They've restricted access for years. But you can get into the stadium and look out over the field. Go to Gate 24, in the Southeast corner of the stadium. From there you can get into the handicapped seats immediately to the SE of the field. I would suggest parking on Stadium Drive (used to be 10th street, on the west side of the stadium). From there you can easily walk around the stadium, take pictures, get into the overlook area, etc. You HAVE TO go to the North side of the stadium and enter the lobby next to the weight room. You'll see the Tom Osborne/Brook Berringer statue outside, and inside you can see the National Championship trophies, and the Heisman trophies.

Taylor Martinez needs just 142 passing yards to pass Vince Ferragamo (3,224) and Turner Gill (3,317) for 7th on NU career passing list.
