  1. The Colorado game is going to come down to how uncomfortable we can make Shedeur. If he has time in the pocket we're going to have a long day.

We've lacked really good edge pressure since... what? Randy Gregory? I saw some hype about our D Line today. But we've heard that before.

While I appreciate this guy's regret, it was pretty obvious from pretty early in Rittenhouse's story that he wasn't the good guy. His background and character were also pretty well known pretty early on. He then spent months either knowing that and ignoring it, or failing to do proper due diligence on a person he was investing a significant amount of time and effort on.

So let me see if I'm getting this story straight..

Israel, with the most advanced targeting and missile systems known to man and with a drone fleet that can make out the nike swoosh on someone's shoes, and with reports and knowledge of the exact locations and movement of easily identifiable vehicles with a food relife charity, accidentally executes a strike against said food relief charity. The survivors notified  the IDF they had been attacked, some of them get out of that car and into another car, and Israel accidentally strikes that one too  (over a kilometer away), only to finally accidentally strike a 3rd car for a 3rd time over 2.5 km away.

    Yep. That's what happened.

They even dropped ordnance right through the charity's logo on the roof. I suppose that could be a coincidence. Or it could be a message.

Several charities, including World Central Kitchen and Anera, are pausing operations in Gaza as a result.

While I personally believe what you said, you did just do this to me the other day.

You were like "Oh yeah, you post something and then you always say you had a friend that did it" or something like that, which I took to mean you were assuming I was making s#!t up, which is fine, I don't mind that at all but for you to get all italicized on someone else for doing it is just a bit hypocritical,  which I am also fine with because are all hypocrites.

I personally am sorry your friends had to make that abortion choice, while I am 100% for it in every case, I also can only imagine that the choice sucks and the aftermath must suck.

A reminder to not post drunk.

Can you repost this word salad tomorrow, preferably when you're sober?

The Middle East would sure be a lot better off if post WW2 efforts wouldn’t have set the stage for today. Well that and meddling oil efforts by the United States.

    You're a historian. You've got it.

Who drew the Middle East lines post WWII?

And who meddled with oil efforts from post-WWII to today (non Mid-East countries, obviously)

  6. It's kinda hard to feel positive about the future of the team when that many guys leave. Combine that with who we lose to graduation and Fred had better absolutely nail the portal this year. Oof.

But I do wonder if my 65 year old Republican friends can recall the situation their 19 year old selves faced, and if they would accept that life-changing decision being made for them. Or anyone else.

There's a cognitive dissonance at work. They are happy to adversely judge others who do what they do while exonerating themselves for the same behavior.

Bonus points for figuring out why Jesus Christ of all people would find greater acceptance of marginalized people offensive. And while you have your spin doctor hat on, how would you explain to LGBT advocates that you were afraid of Christians in a way that wouldn't also have you mocked.

Lost in all this frothing is that Jesus would be the first person to invite trans folks to his Easter celebration. The irony of that compared to the utter OUTRAGE from people who claim to follow him is peak MAGA.

Bonus point - there are Christian trans folks who celebrated Easter the same day you did, MAGA.

No...I'm actually not.  You're falling for rage farming from MAGA.

This is a complete non-issue that has been trumped up by them and everyone that promotes the rage is just supporting an idiotic fake issue.

It is the epitome of snowflake manufactured drama.

And yes, we're laughing at you, not with you, MAGA.

Knapp - when are you going to open up a restaurant?  I can sure see cooking is a passion of yours and you have provided some great recipes on other threads before.    Maybe it is your next calling.  If not, it is a great 'hobby'.

It's going to have to remain a hobby. Owning a restaurant is too much work. My cousin owns a couple of restaurants in Omaha and he is always absolutely exhausted.

Thanks.  I now have that saved.  A town in North Carolina that I have to go to quite often has a place that has shrimp and grits.  But, the grits are fried cakes.  It is so dang good.  Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

These are the grits I buy. They don't sell stone-ground grits in Lincoln, near as I can tell.

  12. Israel had near universal sympathy after the 10/7 attack.

They're doing everything they can to erase that.

Three British civilians were among the seven aid workers killed in last night's attack, World Central Kitchen has confirmed.

    1. Seven people working for food aid charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) have been killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza
    2. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says the convoy they were in was hit unintentionally
    3. "It happens in war... and we will do everything so that this thing does not happen again," he says
    4. Three British nationals were among those killed, along with Australian, Polish, Palestinian workers and a dual US-Canadian citizen
    5. Australia's PM has said he expects "full accountability" after Lalzawmi "Zomi" Frankcom was listed among the dead
    6. A Palestinian medical source told the BBC the workers had been wearing bullet-proof vests bearing the charity's logo
    7. The CEO of World Central Kitchen says it was an "unforgiveable attack" - the organisation is pausing its operations

  13. This may be the funniest froth the right has come up with in recent memory.

The people whose jimmies are in a bunch over this aren't actually affected in any way. They still had their Easter just like normal, they didn't see or interact with any trans people at their family gathering, they weren't forced to do anything related to this proclamation at all.

But boy, are they BIG MAD about this thing that had nothing to do with them whatsoever.

    :ahhhhhhhh

  14. I was pretty busy over the weekend and didn't catch any of this about the texts from regents and Pillen to Trev. So sorry that I'm late to the conversation.

Sipple is saying these texts are "desperate" and "disconcerting."

All of the texts can be found here:

    https://www.ketv.com/article/nebraska-leaders-plead-trev-alberts-stay-before-departure/60346005

I don't see anything I'd label desperate or disconcerting. Sounds like they want to retain Trev, which - duh. It's always easier to retain someone than to hire a new person. So of course they're asking him to stay.

But the stuff they're offering doesn't seem any different than what they would have offered to Troy Dannen. 'We'll work with you, give you the resources you need, etc...'

Sipple's article on On3 is behind a paywall so if it's not "wow they were desperate and that seems bad" like the tweet implies, whatever.

So, a President can just arbitrarily move an INTERNATIONAL day. :laughpound

I'll bet if he had, there wouldn't have been any frothing about stuff Biden does by the Right. I'll bet they'd all have been able to vote for Biden in the upcoming election, too.

But since he ruined Easter and gas is $.67 higher than it was, they're just going to have to vote for Orange Man Bad. If only this tragedy hadn't happened!
