Actually, the box score is wrong. The game was a tie, the refs just waved off overtime for... you know, no reason whatsoever. And NO, I'm not going to let this one go. My Buffs got absolutely SCREWED out of bowl eligibility today, and I am PISSED. OK, but you don't mind if we bring up the 5th down again then, do you? I didn't see it, but it sounds screwy. It will be interesting to see what the conference officials have to say about it. We can get screwed 100 times but this will always be brought up, no big deal though, we should have never been in the posistion to let this happen, total coaching let down in the second half. For Maryland guy, you can try an discredit our title all you want, but if you really look into that year let's disuss the your team's defensive collapse in the 4th Quarter where Bienemy dominated the game. The situation could have easily been dealt with right there but your school failed, don't try and hang your coat on some other school, take care of the business at hand.

If you have to let officiating dictate the outcome then you did't deserve the win to begin with. My team got hosed yesterday but we shouldn't have never been in the posistion to let them hose us. I don't know of too many CU fans anticipating some sort of smack down this year. We don't know which team will show up for us, is is the team that beat OU and Tech or is it the team that laid down against Mizzou and K-State? On paper NU has wayyyyyyyyy more talent then we do, I anticipate 2-3 years of rebuilding before we really start to show some signs of consistency. rrogersne, you will be fine, all these stories you hear are the same rehashed stories that are now being passed down from Husker generation to Husker generation. Notre Dame isn't the only game in town. It is surrounded by other Big 10 shools within a few hours drive of South Bend. Nebraska football is that state's identity. There is a huge difference in the two schools. Notre Dame, although it has a huge fan base is very scattered throughout the country whereas yours is more concentrated with some large groups in places like Kansas City, Denver, and St. Louis. Also don't forget you guys had way more consistent success since the 60's whereas Notre Dame did have Bob Davie...lol There is just more pressure to perform at Lincoln.

Ironic how some people can throw garbage on a field and because I wear a certain colored T-Shirt I am automatically typecast by the same people in this thread that refuse to be typecast for the actions of a minority of their fan base.

One last time, the section that was cleared out was right in the heart of the student section, the visitor section is almost on the opposite end of the stadium. If a Husker fan was hit then they were sitting right in the middle of the student section where those tickets are totally reserved for students, so there is only onepossibility, the Husker fan specifically went looking for trouble and sat in the student section even though his tickets were for somewhere else. I would have a hard time giving sympathy for such a move.

So you think the ONLY PLACE IN THE STADIUM where Nebraska fans were sitting was in the little diagram that scrumptious drew up? Come on, man. Let's be realistic. I will say this - judging by their behavior, those students would have made model players for Barnett's team. I am saying that they do not sell general admission tickets in front of the student section. The only time I have ever seen people wearing opposing team gear in the student section were friends of CU students. I have never seen a family of four from Lincoln sitting in the middle of the student section. The student section is for the CU students, it isn't for regular CU fans or for opposing fans. So I am once again left pondering how the students in that section could have thrown trash over 100 yards to hit people in the NU section. Life is full of mysteries....... You're being deliberately obtuse about this. Why? I am not obtuse about it, I am not saying they did not throw trash, I am not saying that were not kicked out, what I am saying is that there are two things that are almost physically impossible to take place and that is there was no trash from that student section that ended up hitting NU fans and there was no way some cigarette was chucked into the jersey of a Nebraska football player. At some point, gravity and diameter will weigh more heavily in this duscussion over exagerrated anecdotes.

I am still trying to figure out how none of those students were recruited to play football when they were able to throw trash all way from the student section all the way across the stadium and hit people in the Nebraska section? Hell, if you can throw a marshmellow with a battery in it more then 100 yards, you should be an All-American Quarterback.

I don't think he was denying that we have our shair of asshats because we certainly do, and the school has done a lot to crack down on those asshats. The magic cigarette though is a bit of a stretch and the common story of old people getting mugged and tires slashed sure seems to happen to about 90% of Husker fans in Boulder. Now I am not saying that the Boulder PD is terrific, case in point Jon Benet, but I know that they are out on force on gameday and their #1 goal is to provide safety not only to those clad in black and gold but also in red and white. You would be surprised at how many of us are out there that want to kick your team's arse but want nothing but the best experience for you, other then a win

I just cannot figure out why he is so stubborn that we did not fire Cosgrove when the poop start hitting the fan? I think if he had fired Cos probably after Ball St or at least OSU he might have saved some grace from you guys but since he did not and he is the head coach and ultimately responsible for the performance of the team he signed his own death warrant by not pulling the trigger.

I would love for you to email this story to CU, since it does have one of the best aerodynamic programs in the country. Perhaps they could wind tunnel test this. A&M looks to be after Tuberville from Auburn or Chris Peterson from Boise State, that is what I have heard. I talked to a guy out in Aggieland today who said they are highly interested in Peterson.

Here's the deal, I live in South Alabama, so SEC football is rammed down my throat 24/7. You all have no idea how much I have to carry the Colorado and Big 12 banner here. I should receive a commission check. Now here is my question, LSU gives up a crapload of points to Kentucky, KENTUCKY PEOPLE, and this was in football, not basketball, and just this past weekend, they give up another craploaf of points to ALABAMA, when have you seen an Alabama team score more then 30 other then their typical patsy they play for homecoming, like Western Carolina? My point is this, why have you settled on a defensive coordinator who really hasn't done a whole lot of defending this season with a defense in terms of talent that could put some NFL teams to shame? Before the season they down here they were comparing that defense to the '93 Alabama team that many think was the finest college defense ever assembled.
