  1. Crazy, but true...one good, ahem...GOOD! drive away from actually being in this game. Can Featherstone(s) catch the ball?
  2. Well anyone who said it's not ZL, it's the helpers...you win this round.
  3. Hope every one of the 'skers heard those boos. They deserve em.

  5. I give ZL a bunch of credit for last week...I really do. That said, at some point it has to be asked...can we at least give Cody a shot? It's not JUST his fault...but he ain't helping.
  6. We go away with nothing we lose ALL the momentum...better to at least get something out of it. We get the ball to start the 3rd. so that it will be 28-3 at half. doesn't sound much better than 28-0 Obviously I wasn't counting on Leach coming right back down the field!
  7. I was joking...but maybe I shouldn't have been. Good lord what a disaster.

  9. Normally PA is always the right answer. Though with Zac...he makes me nervous. Take the FG.
  10. Leach is just running it up at this point??? WHAT????? It's the first half!! OMG please stop making Husker fans look stupid! And if you'll scroll down...you'll see that I apologized and said I misspoke. It was a poor excuse for a joke and I botched it. I'm just as frustrated as you are...settle down.
  11. You're right...I misspoke. He's just having his way with this defense because they're just gassed. The offense is a disaster.
  12. Can Bo take the blackshirts back? This is getting ridiculous. The WR's are wide open...any plays we make are taken away by crap penalty calls and Leach is just running it up at this point. Oh, and Zac and the offense are playing in quicksand again. Just awesome.
  13. I have to admit, I was among the hysterical after 3 quarters last night. I was yelling at my TV for Green to come in. If the heavy ball and wet grounds were an issue, the playcalling has to reflect that, and as others said, the playcalling was awful. Credit to Zac for figuring it out when we needed him. Still, somebody better work on some adverse weather drills with this team
  14. Yep. Win games and the polls will take care of themselves.
  15. Drops everywhere by the TE. Way to kill the momentum kid.
  16. Watching this game, I think it's even more of a joke that we're ranked where we are, behind the likes of Michigan and UNC. Not saying we should be #9 like miami is, but VT is just laying the wood to them today. No worries though. The huskers take care of business this week and next, and they'll be back in the 13-16 range.
  17. Exactly...OU's D is better, but not by much IMO. Facing VT in Lane is about as tough as it gets, while we get OU in Lincoln.
  18. Not a problem on the first thing. I know emotions are high and things get said that we shouldn't say. At least the FIRE PELINI threads haven't popped up yet. In that situation, it's almost a guarantee, save for a complete ST breakdown that you will get the ball at around the 10 or inside. Reason being is your punter is skying that punt giving your coverage team extra time to cover the punt. That punting situation isn't meant to pin them inside the 2-3 yard line as you may do early in the game, but just meant to pin them safely as far back as possible, which we did. But you could say the same thing for the defense. You get to show the team how much you really believe in the defense, the 'Blackshirts' and give them one more opportunity to flex their muscle. Flows both ways there. That sounds almost as if you are getting on Watson for not being able to score enough. But yet in the last 2 years, how many times has Watson's offense saved our rear end? Like the Clemson game and his adjustments to get our offense rolling? The Colorado game when our defense could not stop Cody Hawkins? The Kansas game? There will be just as many times where we are in the opposite situation than we was today. But I also understand people are frustrated and looking for anyone to blame they possibly can. But I do find some humor in people getting after Watson for one game after everything he has done in the past few years. You can call that whatever you will. The reality of it is, no matter what Pelini calls in that situation, he was getting grief, unless of course it actually worked. Even more, one blown coverage and no one cares. We all say it was the right call to put it back on our defense, they had did their job all day .. yadda yadda yadda. After the fact doesn't help anything more than cause un-needed controversy. I don't blame Watson for losing this game, though his play calling was subpar at best today. His determination to pass when Lee wasn't hitting the broad side of the barn and the receivers were blanketed stunned me, particularly in light of Helu's monstrous performance. He's done a lot for this program and I'm glad he's here, even after today's lackluster showing. For me it all burns down to attitude. You play to win, not to not lose. If we had Pete Carroll for one play today, we would have walked out of there with a huge and much-needed win. Instead we punted. That's Nebraska now. We punt on 4th and 1 and give Virginia Tech the chance to win or lose it for us. Whatever the reasoning, whatever happened before or after, there was one play where we had a chance to grab what we wanted, and instead we gave that chance back to the opponent. Bad call, coach. Better luck next time. +1. Exactly right.
  19. Definitely was. Plus, and no offense to our Tiger fan folks, but it was certainly our most hostile road game to boot. MAN we HAD it.
  20. Man I'm gonna miss Suh when he's gone. Now THAT is a leader.
  21. I don't even know how possible it is numbers wise, but all I want is another shot at these guys. If we get it, it means we had a damn good year. As for the Green talk...stop. Just stop. Zac will learn from this, he'll be fine.
