  1. Anyone know if Bailey is due back for tonight's game? Also, what was his injury last Saturday?
  2. That's it! Thank you very much, huskeraddict!! I owe you one!
  3. Thanks to all that replied! I'm currently "mobile", which means I can't view those links with any efficiency... I am looking forward to getting home and checking them out... ...and I apologize for the duplicate threads - I didn't even know there was a baseball board here. I'll be here daily from now on... Thanks again!
  4. A few years ago, I stumbled across a picture from a 2005 Nebraska Regional Baseball Game. If anyone attended this game in particular, you remember the severe thunderstorm that rolled through early that evening. Anyway, the picture I am referring to was taken from back behind home plate, around dusk I believe...and showed the players on the field with the storm rolling in. I've scoured the interwebz high and low, and have been unable to come up with this picture. Please help me find it! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  6. Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you.... ...the new (NU Version of) TuffTiger.
  7. I just wanted to provide a Cliff Notes version of this Husker wankfest for anyone too lazy to read the whole thread. You're welcome. Case in point. No further message.
  8. I was talking purely about scheme...but I also don't believe those 2 made so much of an impact to say that losing them is the reason for the lack of production this season...
  9. People are upset with the offense, and they should be. Missouri's defense is bad. And you'll see that once they play a decent team. I'm not calling for any heads to roll, but remember this: our offense didn't even change...we don't need to get "the right personnel in here." I have serious concerns about our offense...but, I'm just a worrier...
  10. Don't worry, folks. Missouri fans - as a whole - will (and will always) be a bunch of hacks. Let this season pass, and they'll be back to being middle o' thee pack in the Big 12 North. Yep, I said it. Enjoy your new-found, and short-lived success, MIZZOU. P.S. Don't p*ss down your leg when you face OU....AGAIN....
  11. Jeez. Here we go again. Come on, Ronsss. I take it you weren't here the past 4 months?
  12. Apparently, you're not familiar with Social Security. Pardon the lad for not believing in a system that requires one to pay-in....yet, ultimately, never receive any benefits in return. Unless a person is currently 60+ years old (even then, you're reaching)...you have little chance at receiving/RECIPROCATING the benefits for all those taxes you paid out over the years. And yes, I know you (AR Husker Fan) were being facetious. Regardless of what "Michael" meant, Social Security IS a joke to anyone under 60. I've now skewed this into a pro/con social-security thing...
  13. Perhaps we're pushing these kids too hard? Perhaps the pressure on the HC to deliver a product (Ws) is too much (see Missouri's O'Neal)? I'm not placing blame on any person, Head Coach, or anyone else. That's all I can come up with, or they're using "supplements" that are endangering our player's lives? All these events aren't just happen-stance. There's a reason for these things. Or, perhaps the vast media coverage sensationalizes these occurrences... It's one or the other...
  14. I'm sure that any LSU fan is unhappy with BP leaving LSU. Yet, they're all waiting...waiting to see what happens....what happens with BO as a Head Coach. Bo Pelini has proven himself as a DC ever since he arrived in the college ranks - 2003. Top 25 defenses, every year. Granted, he served as DC for programs known for in-state talent (post NE) - OK, LA. I'm more concerned with Shawn Watson calling the plays. That isn't to say that I think SW isn't capable...but we're testing two new coaches in the 2008 season - Shawn Watson (Offensive Coordinator)...and Carl/Bo Pelini (Defensive Coordinator). We have the tradition, we have the facilities...
  15. I was extremely pumped last pre-season. Be pumped about a definitely-new football team. Be pumped about our defense being certainly different from last year...playing with fire. Yet, don't be pumped for anything other than what is realistic (I'm assuming you're talking about on the field success, I may be wrong). We're all extremely excited...or to phrase it differently....ANXIOUS!
  16. I don't think the opposing team will feel very affected by "Hey, down in front!" Course, now this is one-less section where this will be the prevailing cheer.
  17. Taking that into account, do you think that moving the student section was all in the name of progress? Was this move really altruistic, as opposed to serving a specific demographic? Like I said before, I no longer have student tickets - haven't since I graduated undergrad. This doesn't affect me whatsoever. Honestly, this article would not have really bothered me at all - all others things being equal. But couple this with the moving of the student-section - and that just makes for a lot of unhappy people. I don't like the student section move, this only makes the student section even less of a factor for opposing teams.
  18. Seriously, STFU with this holier than thou crap. It has gone beyond annoying when it keeps getting referred to as a 'me generation'. The students are what even gives you the option to sit in that seat on Saturday, being quiet and telling others how they can enjoy the game. Without them, you have squat. The university can survive without a football program, but they cannot survive without the students. If anyone needs to learn their place in line, it is certainly you, sir. my exact feeling... if this generation is all the 'me generation' wouldn't all we care about be ourselves? well stereotyping seems to be pretty much a generalization and caring too much about YOUR personal feelings to get to actually know certain people from a younger generation.. for God's sake all you're doing is make yourself look worse and worse... I think what skers fan was referring to is this: it is pathetic that "this" is what "it" has come to. I know that you'll probably just say, "well, if he (Kutz) is a true NU fan...it shouldn't matter." I disagree. We should be taking every possible step as to not alienate our fans, certainly not at this juncture. I don't really care, either way, because my seats are never the same - but, SP did enough damage to our fans. Regardless of who our AD is or who our HC is or how we're playing...I just want us to play like Nebraska. I couldn't care less if my seats are on that catwalk, so long as we're playing like Nebraska can play. However, Osborne has been (IMO) making some questionable decisions. Just couple this article with TO's decision to move the student section...and this makes for many unhappy fans. It's true. Sure, we can sit back and say "college football is a business", and accept things as they are. I know I would not feel great if I had been holding the same season tickets for almost 5 decades....then my tickets are lost because someone is willing to pay more for my seats. Just something to think about, and don't say "well, that's capitalism for ya'." Personally, I think that as a season-ticket holder since 1958, Kutz should be allowed to keep his tickets...in the same area, at the same price - or at least, a "fair" price. He is a loyal fan, and was likely a season-ticket holder before most of us were born. Let's be honest here, Osborne is catering to the bigger donors.
