  1. My sincerest apologies. I actually edited out the name-call.
  2. No, it isn't. But calling someone what they are acting like is?
  3. Like "what the hell world were you living in" isn't a personal attack?
  4. I don't know I don't think Cally's owed any thanks by the Nebraska family. Basically ran this program into the ground with all his schemes and arrogance and "talent". But you might keep up with Cally cause he's sure going to need a full team of apologists at his next gig.
  5. unless someone like oh i dunno TOM FREAKIN' OSBORNE says it does. just saying, is all.
  6. Hey who said he was family. I was talking about T.O. and some of the long time assistants that got gutted in 03 after an AWFUL 10-3 campaign. I'll take my 10-3 and an occasional shot at the title thank you very much.
  7. oh he was just saying that cause he thought it sounded all tough and Husker-like. Total b.s. Guy has a rock for a head.
  8. "No doubt about it" ( like 100 times every interview) "We just have to get better. We just have to get better." (Is there an echo in here???) "Certainly this, certainly that." "No question this, no question that." "Hats off to _____________ (who kicked our a**)."
  9. T.O. made the right call. Period. Like it or not, Nebraska is a family. We've had enough of this "I'll bring in my own assistants and do it my way." Callahan couldn't care less about Nebraska ways and tradition. We were all itching for but a REMNANT of previous Husker, but it wasn't to be found. How many games you think we will win next year if the offense is scrapped? Heck that's not the problem. We scored tons of points this year. What our team needs is some "Give a s***", some defense, and some cahonas. I think it is ingenious how this is all being handled. The company line is "no wholesale changes on offense, just some new wrinkles". That preserves much of our recruiting class, AND it gives us a chance to win every single game next fall. The "new wrinkles" part is going to be good. Grobe is a loser and I knew it when I was sitting on the pot next to him.
  10. I was always gun shy about Clownahan on the road. Unsure of himself. Team timid, tepid, reluctant, unsure. Ripe for an a** kicking and it happened a lot. I get the feeling ol' Bo is going to have just a tad different 'tude on the road. Us against the world. Take no prisoners. GET READY OU and TECH, we're com'in to town with a whole new 'tude!!!
  11. It very well could be. Dude loves Nebraska and it's 100 percent chance he's going to win and win big. Barring a scandal (God forbid), I very well may go into old man-hood watching Pelini guide the 'Skers. And boy am I excited.
  12. That was the mantra sung by Pud. Screw Pud. You can see where his theory got us. If we retro to the Solich era, works for me. I'll take .750 and an occasional shot at the title and so will everyone else on this board. WE LOST PERSPECTIVE WITH SOLICH AND IT'S HIGH TIME EVERYONE HERE JUST ADMIT IT AND GO ON. Going .750 is studly, and we were RARELY embarrassed. And the truth is, we were gathering steam for another run with Pelini on board. GIVE ME THOSE OLD COACHES BACK ANY DAY OF THE WEEK THANK YOU. Let Pud and Cally go get their big time recruiting classes and finish in the bottom half of 1-A every year and have fun at it!!!
  13. Heck no it wasn't a fake. In fact my salt water aquarium friend was phoning me while I was on the throne. He can vouch. As far as "close to the situation", I don't know how much closer I coulda gotten really. What 2 feet, separated by a metal stall? And I could tell full well that Grobe had a full rack of ribs the night before at Buzzard Billys.
  14. I must say it's developing into an interesting race between the t-shirt deal and the sat-next-to-grobe-taking-a-dump deal.
