Because Callahan don't care if we win or lose, he just wants to run his beloved west coast offense. How is a coach gonna not care if his team or loses? That idea is ridiculous. Because him and steve p. are butt buddies along with jim rose so he knows he isn't going to get fired. He knows he can use the excuse that they aren't his players. He is use to the Nfl where losing happens. This is not a pro team. He is not use to winning ways where if you lose it's life or death for us. That's takin it a bit far man. I know you don't like the whole deal but damn, you make it sound like there is some grand conspiracy to just make a bunch of money and drive the football team into the ground and ride away into the sunset. Like Jim Rose has any say in whether nor not someone at Nebraska keeps their job. Oh and by the way, Saturday still goes in the W column. The game does go in the win column. But I think that everyone would of liked to see us put up at least 10 more points on the board. We could of easily of point up at least 14 if not 21 if we would of stuck with what worked rather than throwing the ball in the fourth quarter. We need to be smarter with our play calling.

I do not think that I would put A&M or Okie State ahead of all the teams in the North quite yet. I am not totally impressed with A&M, I watched their game against Utah and they looked pathetic. I know that they have put together a couple of good games since then but they have not played against an offense that spreads out the defense. I think that OSU has to have a successful running game each and every time for them to be successful. They have only thrown 41 passes this year. There hasn't been a team in the North that has stood out yet, but I still think that Missouri and Nebraska could beat A&M and Okie State. I don't think we could beat okie state. Maybe A&m. I think that we probally have the best chance out of anyone in the North to beat Okie State. All they do is run the ball and in my opinion, we have the best defense in the North.

I would say that the Flash Reverse was my favorite play because I was at the game and the emotion and energy the crowd gave off was amazing. I don't think that I will ever take part of something like that ever again. The second best play in my mind was against Colorado a couple of years back. The first play of the game had big ol' Dan Alexander running up the middle and out running the super fast Ben Kelly to the end zone from 80 yards out. That was by far big Dan's best game. He had four touchdowns at half time.

I hope that he gets a decent job some where. I think that he could take the option offense there and have a good career. I know that he has been all over the country learning about new offenses but I have a feeling that he will stick to the option whereever he goes.

Well Bill needs to show that he cares about a victory in his play calling. If we have success running the football why would you start throwing the ball when you have the lead and are known for throwing interceptions. It does not take a brain surgeron to know what to do. Though maybe we should get one to stand on the sideline and help Bill out.

Dyches came in last year and at least made some kicks! As a freshman no less. He made some early one's that were about a foot in the air. He's very average. Well yea, he isn't the best but he is better than Sandro. Well people think Callahan is god almighty and plays the best players so there you go. Sandro must be the best player. I don't care who is out there kicking the ball. We have to make those kicks. It is going to come back and lose us a football game this year if we can't make those kicks. I agree we need to make them but I don't think our field goal kicker is even close to our main problems. We just stink. Well we need to start fixing the problems now. I believe that's because we are having to dumb down to the offense so Dailey can at least get a play off. Last night he could barely do that ! Yeah blame it on Dailey. I don't understand why you would want such a complex offense. I'd say make it simple and easy and effective and profect it. Why study 10 chapters when you only need to know one? I agree with you again Bernard. Bill should of known that Dailey would not be as successful as Gannon did with it in Oakland. I think that we need to simplify the offense so that Dailey can handle it but not to the point where we can not be successful running it. I would agree and that's why Callahan went to more bootlegs and slants at Pitt. Dailey could execute them well. I am not sure why we didn't see more of the same against Kansas. It seems like he never goes to what works. If the power game works like it was against ku he doesn't do it. If bootlegs worked in the past he won't keep doing them. How does Jackson beat out green? Amos,Nunn,Herian were nonexistent. I don't think it matters who are number 2 back is, If we are only going to give them one carry a game then it doesn't matter who is out there because they could go for a touchdown or fumble and they know that their playing time is not going to change.

I beg to differ. There's a something called money that is in his future and he won't screw up again. I wouldn't want to be around Callahan and staff anymore either. As crappy as our offense played, he is probally happy as heck that we came away with a victory. I just hope that he realizes that he is a big problem for our offense not succeeding. If he would realize what plays are working then maybe he should run those plays again during the game so that we can move the ball.

I agree, I think that he is just as good as LeKevin. I think that we are going to need him to come in and play a considerable amount if we are going to continue to shut down the run.

Well that is true, but that doesn't mean that our defense is bad. When an opposing offense only has to go 20 yards or at least not lose any to put points on the board. It is a false representation of what our defense is really like.

Sproles is going to be at the top of the list because against sh**ty teams they let him run for 2-3 hundred yards just to get his stats up. I hope that some team just takes him out when he is running up the stats and the score. That will teach ol'Snyder not to be a douche bag. I hope they lose every game this year and every game until he is gone.

I agree that he looked good last year. But this year whenever there is an obvious passing down, we put Thomas and Carriker at the DT so that we get faster with the pass rush which really isn't working.

Right on, Junior. The coaches need to do something. The offense is pathetic. At times (very few times) I wish we still had Lord back there, at least he could throw the ball down field. Did anyone notice that we actually went deep against Western Illinios and were successful. Now we don't even try to go past 20 yards. The passing game is to stretch the defense. Right now, no defense in their right mind would play cover 2 against us.

We have a chance at the Big 12 North, but we need to limit the mistakes and make some big plays on offense and special teams. Four yard passes and two yard returns are not going to cut it.

Lets just give the ball to Ross, He can produce. Our offensive players on the field right now came here to run the football, thats what they do. WHy don't we do it more.

Bernard, do you know if Lornell will be back at 100% next week. I think that we are going to need him. Huston has done a great job of filling in, but I think that we will be sitting in nickel and dime coverage all game against Tech and I would feel better with him out there rather than watching Seigel tackle some guy three seconds before the pass gets there.
