Brown had Ameer, Heard, and Green in 1 class. All 3 are NFL players.
Heard wasn't supposed to be in that class, but yeah.

another sport season ends without a coach getting fired. what the heck is happening around here?
As long as there's no energy vampires around Eichorst's office, we're good.

^ Oh, I more or less agree with that, but I'm sure it factors into the rankings for articles like this.

Nebraska currently doesn't even crack the top 40 for head coach's salary. We're barely above the likes of Maryland and Vanderbilt there. K-State? Pays more than Nebraska. Texas Tech? Pays more than Nebraska. TCU? Pays about $1.2 million more than Nebraska. Riley is making just barely more than what his successor at Oregon State is.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but the targeting rule was the right call. Gifford hit the QB with his helmet, it doesn't matter if it was not intentional or if it wasn't severe. It's targeting and was enforced according to the rule.
Like it or not, it was the right call. Gifford's hands were drawn to his own body at the time of contact. If he puts his arms out and pushes the QB, it's not a targeting call. If he moves to the side to avoid contact, it's not a targeting call. It was poor play by Gifford, and the right call by the refs.

^ Martell made his tweets private shortly afterward. I got some screenshots:

No no, that was another name for the Fumblerooski.

ESPN has a partnership with the SEC. Check ESPN also has a partnership with the B1G and that's why most of our games were on ABC/ESPN.
They may have more than one son, but that doesn't mean they don't have a favorite son...

^ KLIN? Any reason you don't just use the stream on huskers.com?
Was just on Huskers.com (up and working again) and it says NO game coverage today, so were are you getting that we can listen on that site?
never mind, I found it, but still not working. OK this still sucks!
I've been listening just fine since a half hour before the game.

EDIT: Here's another audio-only link, if the others aren't working: http://www.mbcwebradio.com/kliq.asx
If that doesn't work for you either, you've probably got something screwed up with Windows Media Player on your system.

Did whoever was running the stream decide they'd rather watch volleyball?

Ugh, found two different streams showing the same fail.

Well, I *had* a link...

Barring an injury to Lee, I think we'd be fine with Washington at #2 and Green redshirting. Give Washington some credit!
But what if Lee gets KO'd 2/3rds of the way through the season? Could Washington handle the load by himself? Would you want to burn Green's redshirt at that point, or Martinez's for that matter?

Not real sure at the moment, just depends on how things fall into place for me.

PS - you've been a member for almost two years, and this was your first post? Wow.
Heh, yeah, signed up here a long time ago, but never posted. Thinking about moving to a new forum for this season, I'm tired of seeing threads get dragged down into stupid arguments at my usual board.
Maybe I'll visit here more often, now that I've figured out how to turn off the ginormous signature pics that dominate this forum.

Time is money. Even if it doesn't cost anything in travel expenses, he's still losing a Saturday that he could be spending at home with his family. And he's going to be doing the same thing in Wichita the weekend before, and probably others I don't know of.

I think the day he announced he was returning was the happiest I've felt about the program since... the Oklahoma win in 2001? Maybe the Alamo win in 2005? Not sure, but his return is a huge step in the right direction for this program.
Happier than when the new AD & coach came to town?

Not so long ago, I was speculating that Wilbon could become our next Aaron Green - a star at another school. Hope I'm wrong!
