It's time to take some blackshirts away. Why not? This team doesn't resemble any husker team the last 35 years. No I'm not ready to sack the WCO, but I am ready to send Cosgrove and the rest of the defensive staff to wherever the Craig Bohls of the world go. Somehow these defensive coaches have turned an attacking defense into a defense that has mailed it in this year. Just adding another note, I keep hearing about recruiting all these offensive players, have we recruited anyone to play defense next year?

I think KSU offense looked pretty good against OU. I think a 28-10 win for KSU is about right. The more I hear out of Wisconsin on how relieved they were to get rid of Cosgrove makes me wonder what Bill was thinking. The biggest knock on him was once teams in the big 10 i.e. Northwestern started running the spread offense he didn't have a clue. I would expect we will see that offense run by many of our opponents for the remainder of the year.

Just some game thoughts. #1 It was Baylor and this was the one game we expected to win easily this year. #2 Cosgrove has taken the aggressive defense of last year and has them playing back on their heels. He was by far the worst hire by NU. The plays that Baylor burned us on are basically the same ones Tech killed us with and Cos better figure we will see those plays all year until we stop them. I can't blame our players on defense because we always seem to be in the wrong coverage on many pass plays. We never blitz on 3rd down and instead drop into stupid zone coverage which always yields wide open receivers. #3 Hats off to Dailey. He looked really good and perhaps Callahan figured out the running game does open up the passing game, cause I think we've abandoned the run way too early in some games.

What else could Pederson say. He has to know what people think of him and this "phenomenal staff". I dont want to compare the staffs because it's an old argument. But the group of coaches Solich put together had just as good if not better credentials than our current staff. Many of the coaches let go last year also left NFL coaching jobs. Pederson must think we are idiots. He'll find out when the money stops rolling in.

I thought the biggest question might be why Wisconsin now has one of the best defenses in the country. Answer: Because Cosgrove isn't there. It was obvious there was no game preparation at all. Especially when our defensive back coach is quoted in the OWH as saying "gee we didn't know their receivers were so fast" Gimme a break!!

What's wrong? Can't you believe the fans could turn on this program when 70% of the people were against Solich's firing? I only feel bad for the players, even they know Pederson is a moron.

I hope this board is not an apologist for the Athletic Dept. #1. Give the game ball to Pedersen and tell him we are surrendering the big 12 to all the other teams. #2. 70-10? Solich teams never lost by 60 points. #3. I have no ill will towards Callahan. He knows we don't have the talent to run his stupid offense, so why the hell are we running it? #4 The worst thing is the fans don't care. I watched the game at a local establishment and most people begin cheering for TT or didn't even care. The husker nation which is some stupid title given to the fans have already disappeared which means they were not fans to begin with.
