  1. This should be called Riley's creampuff coaching. Face it no one bought into anything that smiling jackass was preaching and so the inmates decided to run the team. What was done about it? Nothing we smiled our way to what we have now. Frost has to get guys together (or get rid of them) on the same page that haven't been on the same page in their careers. It was very telling when Frost said "this is my team"

  2. After thinking about this game it reminded me somewhat of Frost's first road game at NU vs Arizona St. We were rated #1 and got shutout 19-0 and our offense looked beyond pitiful. Not saying were the 96 Huskers but sometimes you just don't have it.

  3. I think you have to look at the AD's that did the hiring. Petersen hired Callahan and Eichorst hired Riley, two incredibly laughable hirings. They replaced coaches only so they could make their mark on the program and what a mark they made. Byrne wanted Mack Brown and the godfather wanted Solich, so we know how that went. So really 3 out of 4 and maybe all of them should have never been here.

If you think about all the coaches, they all had great ideas when hired, but never followed up. Bo said we are going to run the ball and we're stuck with Watson as the OC. Riley said running the ball 50% of the time would be great and then lets a stupid OC throw the ball all over the stadium. Callahan-Not sure what he was trying to do cause his west coast offense never did amount to much and I remember his QB's being killed all game long.

  4. I can't believe Martinez completed 60% of his passes when we just had a guy who thinks he's going to NFL that couldn't hit that mark. TMart's game against Kansas St. gives him the slight edge over Ganz. I enjoyed Ganz, but you could always count on him to throw a pick at a bad time.

  5. Eichorst got off easy. He should have been forced to attend the last 5 games of the year and see the fruits of his labor that him and Harvey created.

I enjoyed reading in detail how the Frost and Moos meeting took place. Meanwhile Shawn and Harvey concocted some BS story about how they hired Riley (and no offense to Riley, but Nebraska doesn't hire this kind of guy) out of thin air to the point where none of it made sense. Then somehow the Wisconsin coach took the OSU job and then he quit. Gee what a coincidence.  Those two bozos are the one's that truly divided this state and made it toxic all the while hiding behind the curtain of secrecy.

I will never excuse Bo's behavior, but I wish they could tranquilize him sometime and ask him how much fun it was working with Eichorst.

Yeah we should continue to be cynical and divided and just overall miserable ***** because that’s much more fun and productive

I don't think anyone was excited about Callahan. Like the guy said on the radio, This is former Nebraska players taking control of a situation that was destroyed by a bunch of outside screw ups.

Listening to The Steve Sipple Segment on S&B this morning Benning asked one of his Vauge Frost needs to look within Questions. Sipple basically said that there are going to be hurt feeling because a lot of the former players IE Benning, Vrzl others want to be part of the staff in someway or have access like they did with Riley. Frost isn’t going to be as open with info as Riley was and it is going to ruffle some feathers

Good we don't need to run it like a country club like it was the last 3 yrs. You only have a few hours each day to coach the players, so we don't need old guys standing around shooting the breeze about their glory days.

Don't think they ever said that, but I would hope they are trying and believing they can do well here. Anyone who thinks they can't do it won't do it and they shouldn't be coaching. Yes Riley has done a bad job but I wouldn't expect anything less out of his attitude. I'd be a lot more concerned about the program if he was sitting up there telling us there is no way he can win.

No Riley's defensive coordinator has spouted off that we can't stop anyone and what has done to fix it the last 6 weeks aside from cash his paycheck.

  9. Perhaps Moos is actually thinking before doing something stupid like the last few AD's have done and yes Osborne you're included. Be thorough about the search and hire someone who will make the program great again. Not someone the fans want, cause when it comes down to it all the fans do is bitch.
