    Seeing the Nebraska players protest, and the governor's reaction along with the intense media coverage has made me realize one important thing: the America that I once knew is dead. The new America is one where race dominates the conversation everyday, and there's nothing we can do about it.

      Yeah, now you have athletes think they have free speech or civil morality. Where are our great athletes of yesteryear, who just played their sport. Like Mohammad Ali or Jim Brown?

      I don't recognize my America anymore. There has never been a time in American history like now when there was civil unrest or a movement for civil rights.
