  2. I would agree with the FG, no need to run up the score. Which is why you should run the ball in that situation. Passing the ball looks like you are trying to run it up.
  3. Only real negative from this game is some of the cuteness that was shown in the goal-line play calling. We pound the ball down the field fairly well then fail to execute in the red zone. We've left 14 points on the field, 49-7 would look much better!
  4. That's unfortunate. tOSU gets an INT to keep it from being a 28-3 halftime score. USC is looking very, very good. tOSU keeps shooting themselves in the foot.
  5. If they get a stop here, hand them blackshirts immediately
  6. Marlon over 100 on the day now. Name ATT YDS LNG TD AVG Castille, Quentin 5 40 11 0 8.0 Ganz, Joe 4 63 33 1 15.7 Helu Jr., Roy 5 29 14 0 5.8 Lucky, Marlon 13 101 58 2 7.7 Peterson, Todd 1 2 2 0 2.0
  7. Soft tissue injury, sounds like he could play if he's needed. But might as well get him some rest and start the healing.
  8. Woooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo.... Wonder if Marlon could have been an option QB for TO? Pedal to the metal!
  9. You're calling a defense that just held West Virginia to 3 points, one of the most dynamic offenses in college football and a team that hung 48 on OU last year nothing special?
  10. From a blog... http://crucessports.blogspot.com/2008/09/houses-quote.html I just wanted to say that I was at this press conference and did not report the quote. The reason being, that Davon said something stupid that was taken out of context. He went on to compliment the Cornhusker WRs, saying that they were big, had good size and would be tough to match up against. Right when Davon made the statement, I thought to myself ‘what a stupid thing to say, someone could nail him for that.’ But it was not his intention. His tone wasn't condescending. He's a sophomore cornerback who has little experience in talking in front of the media. He got nailed but I feel for him. He wasn't trying to call anybody out.
  11. AND get the Dline to get their hands up if they can't get to the QB - even if they don't get all of the team's interceptions it could disrupt the timing as much as pressing the corners Or grab the QB by the face mask and swing him around since Big 12 Refs never call that. The other thing is to make the recievers think twice about coming over the middle and catching the ball by laying them out every chance you get. But the best way to defend the spread is to keep it off the field, run the ball and chew clock, and hope your D gets them in as many third and longs as possible.
  12. That was Dennard who was making the blocks downfield.
  13. I saw at least 4 sacks today. Actually we only had two, Potter and Dillard combined for one and West had the other.
  14. The defense played better overall then last week, they were pretty stout in the 2nd half overall. Yes we gave up 350 yards, but then again last year we gave up less than 400 only twice, and less than 375 only once. This was only the 2nd game for most of these players on defense, and they DID show improvement. Bo just said that Turner's injury is significant, but did not clarify. Accepting the blame for the penalties. Says we have to get better, likes when Helu has the ball in his hands. Only 1 really bad 2nd half defensive play. Says they have a long way to go. Reality hits him when he gets to film the next morning. Need to come together as a group and play consistently.
  15. Suh? Yes, they showed the Helu run that setup the Castille TD, the Castille TD, Suh's INT return and Niles's return. There we go...play with INTENSITY!!!!
  16. The offense has only ran 38 plays... NILES FREAKING PAUL YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Ahh, good old Husker football...wear them down and and then bust a big run in the 4th Oh, crap. It's the OTHER team doing it to us.
  18. D only gave up 56 yards that quarter, that's a step in the right direction. We need a turnover now. While the D hasn't been great, they are the only reason we are in this game.
  19. Because he isn't playing well. Another punt, the offense hasn't helped out the d at all today.
  20. You've got to be kidding me, can we do anything right today? Sit the starting o-line on the bench for the rest of the day.
