Oh, here's another one that only one person mispronounces, and it bugs me every time -- my mother in-law, always pronounces the word, "says" as SAYz.
Ok, HB - settle this one -- is it COOpon, or Que-pon? I used to say the Q version, and my husband argued with me -- now I think the Q version seems weird.
Coopon

But you are assuming all Nebraska fans are in Nebraska. Northwestern might be a 30 min El ride to many Nebraska fans

Consider the source - he is a loyal OSU fan, as someone said he wrote 4 books on OSU football, one had a introduction written by Meyer.

How would you define seeing it work? We have examples of assholes being winning coaches but we don’t know they wouldn’t have been good without throwing chairs at people.

Subpar might be putting it mildly.
I looked at the opponents win % and most of the regular season the opponents were around 55%, with only one poor team 33%. However in the playoffs they did beat an undefeated team in the championship game by 32 points.

This year everybody was alert
One big difference is Wistrom and Peters are buddies and team mates of my head coach - I better pay attention.

I have no idea about California. Again, I was just pointing out the difference of private and public schools in Texas. The competition at the private schools or TAPPS division is significantly lower than the public school or UIL division in Texas. I’m not saying there aren’t great players on those private school teams, but the overall competition is weaker in the private school division. I don’t know how that competition would compare to the rest of the country.
I did not know that - I always associated private schools with, you know, RECRUITING. In Kansas there is talk about some sort of classification adjustment to assist the public schools because the private schools win a disproportionate number of state titles.

I think this is 100 percent correct.
15 years ago, college was a lot cheaper and all four of the Dakota schools were in Division II. Now, college is dramatically more expensive and all four Dakota schools are FCS/IAA.
Last year, North Dakota State, South Dakota State and South Dakota each made the FCS playoffs. SDSU made the semifinals and NDSU won the whole thing, again.
I think now if kids don't get a power five offer, they don't have a problem taking a scholarship to a loaded FCS team over a middling MAC or Mountain West school. And it's hard to blame them either. Get school paid for and win a whole bunch of games. They usually play at an FBS school each year too.
/Full disclosure, I went to one of the four Dakota schools. To keep character, I won't say which one and will continue to pretend to be a German terrorist/thief instead.
Wait, there are four Dakotas now? North, South, East, West? j/k

This situation is rapidly turning into trying to watch a drunk hobo run a 3 card monte game. At first you look on in bewilderment as to what is going on, then you get confused as to what exactly is happening followed by feeling a little bit dirty about watching the whole thing and then finally giving up and going to get some nachos.
yummmmy - nachos

Why don't we get every former navy seal out there and develop them? Seems like the majority think he'll be able to play after a year (even though he's never played football in his life).

Do we really need any more Italians? I mean after Galileo and Dante they have really kept up their end.

This might be a moot point soon.
The way Oklahoma is NOT funding public school districts, they may be down to one community college for the entire state quickly

I wish I was as optimistic as you, don't get me wrong when it comes to Coach Scott Frost the kool aid is flowing super hard, however I just think with our extremely tough schedule, and the fact that we are installing a brand new, completely different system than what our kids have been in the last 3 years. Now I know Coach Frost is a stud and our kids will be ready, but there is so much to over come in year 1, idk if we can win enough games and not get upset by someone we shouldn't to get into the top 20.
Wait. What? We had a system for three years??
