  1. Just an update: Robert just returned from Ft. Worth, TX. where he participated in the Elite 11 tryout on Friday and the NIKE combine on Saturday. He performed pretty well, but is a relative unknown on the national scene. It will be intresting see how the fall unfolds. If he can put up some numbers, and if the Battle Creek Braves can win some games (in a killer district), his name just might be put on the tip of the tounges of many of the D-1 programs in the midwest. He is truely a dual threat QB. For a kid his size he has great elusivness, and 1 man will NOT cut it when it comes to tackling him. He possesses great arm strength, and decent accuracy (needs to be developed, but the tools are there). Defensively he plays DE and is not afraid to bring the wood. His 9th & 10th grade years he played TE and WR and was an unstoppable target. DB's didn't stand a chance in the red zone when they threw Robert the fade. But I believe his heart to be set on playing QB at the next level. The raw talent is there, the tools are there, he just needs a chance to grow and good teacher to show him the way. IMO - The sky is the limit with this kid!
