And getting worse each year.  Is this more time with the "no fear of failure mantra".  In an interview with Beckton he mentioned guys not giving that extra inch like 5-6 times per game.  And that's why we are 3-6 not 7+ in the win category....I think in year 4, it appears the staff is unsure how to fix these.  Almost wonder if that was Beckton saying he realizes the issues, but other coaches do not...or can't fix...I know I'm grasping, but damn....

I guess the good news is it can’t get worse as far as these rankings go

I don't disagree. But barring a clause that states if you do not win x many games you don't get your full payout, NU reneging on the terms of which Frost accepted the position. If they choose to use the supposed NCAA violations which all agree are fabricated and a joke to justify it. It will be a very poor look for the University.

But they aren’t a joke and aren’t fabricated. NU admitted to them and are awaiting penalties.

You can take that paragraph and argue that indeed Frost is closer than the standings indicate. That once his team breaks through mentally, the record will improve dramatically. Paul Johnson followed his 3-9 season at Georgia Tech with 9-4. Brian Kelly followed his 4-8 season with 10-3 in 2017, then 12-1.

But Scott Frost followed his 5-7 season with 3 more losing seasons…

  4. I’m not saying he should get another year, but listening to today’s press conference actually hurt. I feel for Scott. I so badly wanted this to work. It’s so sad to watch him talk about it. It hurts him to his core. I really would love to see NU rattle off 3 in a row and win a bowl game.

I know it won’t happen, but man I sure wish it would.

If these numbers are correct Kiffin ain't happening.

That's fine, there are other good coaches who I'd be equally or more excited for.

That's literally what we are paying Frost right now.  We surely wouldn't lower the offer.  Give him $8 million a year.  Get serious about football, or don't UNL.

One more area of this that needs to be discussed is our lack of talent:  People if you can't open your eyes and see that we don't have bonafide NFL players on this roster your not watching the same game I am.  Purdue has a defensive player and at least one offensive player who are no doubters.  Who on our current roster fits that bill?  Who?

We don't and have not gotten those players on campus yet and haven't since Addullah and Gregory.   7 seasons where we haven't really mustered much on any NFL talent for the draft.  Is this player development or is it misleading recruiting stats and information?  I have heard both.  I hear that our recruiting is overinflated and really our talent level isn't actually Top 20 caliber and I hear that we have decent talent that just doesn't get better once it enters Memorial stadium..  I guess what I am saying is it all comes down to coaching.  Either we are not getting Big 10 talent or we are not developing Big 10 talent, doesn't really matter which came first, chicken or the egg.

I've been for keeping frost regardless of the outcome this year.  Unless you go 3-9.  The schedule next year for us is much easier which I would like to see how we would do. I think one more year to see what they can do wiuld be good.  I don't think we can attract a big name at nebraska the we have been.  Give a coach more than 4 years for once to see if he can turn it around. Just imagine if we win three of the 6 one shore games this year were bowl eligible.

Here is the issue with these comments about next year and it being “easier”.  We will always play Purdue (Frost is 1-3 against them), Minnesota (1-3), Wisconsin (0-4 probably), Iowa (0-4 probably) and Illinois (2-2).

News Flash:  IT DOESN’T MATTER IF NON-CON & CROSSOVERS ARE “EASIER”.  HE CAN’T BEAT THE B1G WEST TEAMS.

#1 and 1A on the list is Matt Campbell.  With OU and Texass leaving the Big 12, it creates questions of opportunity for a program like Iowa State.  Now is the perfect time to swoop him up.

Give him $6-8 million reasons to come to DONU. He makes $4 million now.

As coach, that makes Frost the problem.  Martinez hasn't developed in his program and apparently neither has any of his backups.  We can't have a winning season anymore.  it is pretty ludicrous not to give your other QBs valuable playing time to grow in a situation like that.  Barring a huge Ohio State upset that won't happen, there is no win left that will help our recruiting by keeping Martinez playing.  He should get pulled like any other player that keeps making huge mistakes.

This is a huge issue. Yant, Stepp make one mistake and they aren’t seen for entire games. Offensive lineman are demoted (rightfully so in many cases) for under performing.

For f#&%s sake we’ve had multiple kickers and punters this year because they can’t get it done. Yet Martinez is never held accountable for his mistakes. That will tear a locker room apart.

Nebraska Volleyball fans are more loyal and have more Faith in their coaches than the new breed of husker football fans.

If you think for a moment that any team can dominate the Big Ten like Nebraska and Oklahoma did the Big 8, your on Crack and need a reality check.

Recruiting is harder, and the competition is tougher.

Building a system takes time, and with COVID, it will take even longer.

What in the hell are you talking about?  Ohio State literally does exactly what you claim can’t be done. I guess Jim Tressel, Urban Meyer, and Ryan Day are on crack and need a reality check.

That speaks volumes. He wouldn’t risk his access if he didn’t see the writing on the wall.

Frost stays. Nebraska has made progress. Two key pieces of evidence:

    -Best defense in ten years.

    AND

-I was in Ann Arbor in 2018 for Nebraska/Michigan. I was in Lincoln for Nebraska/Michigan in 2021.

Stevie Wonder could see the difference in those teams.

It’s a funny thing about that white speck on the top of chicken s#!t…
