  1. Any person who would require you to do what you listed, is a complete asshat and just trying to see how much they can control/manipulate you. Be a man, stand your ground and call the damn bluff. Anything else, and you've lost way more than you could ever gain by going to the game.

  2. Truth is always relative. I'm not saying that your info is not accurate but one person's "truth" is another's bullsh*t. Even if it came directly from a starter, it's always going to have spin... The coaches have the most/best info so I'll trust their decision over anybody on a message board.

  3. Why would the coaching staff show all of their cards when they don't have to? A little failure is good for the motivation. The OL may need to be a little bit embarrassed in order to fight a little harder during the rest of the year. I wouldn't even be surprised if the staff was trying to handcuff them a bit in order to keep them from becoming overconfident.

Nobody trains all year to win the pre-season games...

  4. Christ, somebody does something nice to help us not forget what happened and we jump all over their ass because we don't know exactly how much they are putting in their pocket.

    :yeah

They came up with a great idea. They should make money off of it.

It's also quite possible that they don't know what they'll be able to donate until after they see their sales numbers. Most businesses would like to cover their investment/expenses before committing to give away money. People are generally very ignorant as to how business runs so giving away too many details will only serve as a negative. For instance, lets say the hats cost $3 to make and they sell them for $20. Many uninformed people will assume the profit is $17... There are a lot of ways for this to backfire on Adidas and the more numbers they commit themselves to, the higher the odds that it will either create a negative image, or cost them significant $ out of their pocket.

Either way, I think it's a great idea and I'll be that the American shoe giant is pissed that they didn't come up with this first.

  5. Yes, seriously. I've never seen a photo of anybody other than Lee and Green. I don't live in the state of Nebraska and while it may come as a surprise to some, the scout team QB isn't really featured in the media anywhere else... Hopefully, he/they will be household names in the next year or two.

  6. Off topic: What a pathetic schedule.

    Carry on.

Oh, I'd really like to have a primary QB in place for these games so that he will have lots of reps and a chance to be sharp when the real season begins.
