Kinda ironic you put VT's intro music in the first clip

Beamer talks up every team we play. Now of course Nebraska has the great history and tradition for him to recite, but even when we play Duke or I-AA schools he makes them out to be the greatest team ever assembled. He does this every week we tend to just ignore it we've heard it for so long.

You also have to remember a huge factor in this top 25 list is how long each school has had a team. UNC has had a team for over 100 years I believe. FSU was non existant as a football entity until Bowden got there in the 70s.

Teams that have traditionally picked apart Fosters defense are traditional drop back pocket passers. We lost 8 starters from last years defense, which was top 5 in the nation, so this is mostly underclassmen. The talent is in the freshman and soph classes but they need a lot more experience.

At least they got all the Big 12 coverage area for where the schools are. In Boston and Miami they are showing the Big 10 game.

Foster's style has always been to force the opposing team's offense to get one dimensional. once he gets them to do that, he really unleashes the hounds so to say. Typically, he puts max effort to getting the offense to give up on running the ball and make them a passing team. Once we get them in that spot, then we let the D line pin their ears back and hope to force the QB into bad decisions.

Gosh who voted for the ACC. Even as a Hokie I know the ACC is nowhere near the SEC or Big 12 right now. I voted SEC for now. The Big 12 is closing the gap, but I want to see what Mizzou does when Chase Daniel is gone, Kansas does with Reesing gone etc. I want to see if those two can be more then 1 year wonders, if they can sustain it. Plus the SEC has the last 2 national champs and the Sooners have been getting trumped in the big bowl games lately.

The use of GBR is what threw people off. We've been using NU as the acronym leading up to the game. Most didn't clue into GBR being Go Big Red (I didn't until i saw someone else post that)

Just signed up to read the board for the game this weekend. Not going to be able to make the trip. Hope for a well contested game from both sides. I do have concerns about VT's ability to move the ball on anyone right now.
