I'm glad Ellen Page does commercials now. She's a hottie.

This officiating crew has what I like to call HWS or 'Hesitant Whistle Syndrome' It's like they just realized they were on tv or something.

Awfully early for all the extra-curricular stuff going on. Hopefully cooler heads prevail.

Aaron Hernandez has played really well every time I've watched the Gators this year(maybe 4 times). He'll be a stud which sucks because he reminds me of Kellen Winslow, I hate Kellen Winslow.
-
I'm looking forward to this game. Hopefully there's more to discuss than how ugly Cincinnati's uniforms are.

The Good for me was Lester Ward getting a touch. Not only because I'd like to see him be able to contribute more, but also because it brought back memories of '95 when Jay Sims would get in as our fifth back. He was still better than most backs in the Big 8.

Quincy already stated he was solid...he aren't going to lose him..I would love to get Demien...
Although Demien looks like he'll be a very good player for them, we have three real good o-line recruits this year and two already for next year. If we do only have one or two spots left in this class I'd like to see us go in a different direction. But maybe you were just saying that, in a perfect world, if we had the room for him in this class you would love to get him to Lincoln.

He should have been the first team punter. I have no problem with the Missouri kid being the first team kicker.

Burkhead would another person I'd say deserves the honors. He had a great game with a lot of powerful runs
Burkhead wins the preparation mvp in my book. Because he watched lots of film to find tendencies in Arizona's D? No, he wins because he had the foresight to wear white shoes. And they looked awesome.
Burkhead doesnt wear white shoes, but he puts a ton of white tape on his shoes/ankle.
Well on my tiny computer screen(thank you channelsurfing.net) it looked like his shoes were white. And it looked sweet. So in the future he should definitely start wearing white shoes.

I also thought it was a class move for Stoops to go for it at the end instead of kicking the fieldgoal. I know that a lot of coaches would have done that, but I'm pretty sure if this had been a game involving SEC teams that the losing coach would have taken away the shutout. Not that I would have complained had he kicked it, we didn't keep them from driving the field. I was just glad to see our defense get the goose egg.

WILD CORN!!
Kentucky calls it the Wildcobb, I don't know why we couldn't too.

Who coaches our Special Teams? I wish we had a separate coach for it. What have we had one blocked punt and one punt return for a td?
we have a seperate special teams coach. one that is highly regarded no less
Who is it? On huskers.com the coaches page has no special teams coach identified.

no racism or anything. but how often do you see a black punter?
Maybe he was a big fan of Reggie Roby growing up.

Yesterday on ESPN John Cena said he was afraid of Suh. Who will scare off Cena when Suh is gone? Lincolnites watch out Cena might be just about ransack your town after the draft.

Tom Deinhart of Rivals via twitter:
I am told Montana is down to three: Griz DC Kraig Paulson; Griz asst. HC Brent Pease; Griz WR coach Robin PflugradMontana doesnt want him. What a surprise
The tweet is not very accurate. First Pease is currently at Boise St, he's not the Griz asst HC. Second although Pflugrad and Pease are probable finalists for the job Paulson just took a job with UNLV. Wisconsin DC Doeren(Sp?) and Carrol College HC Van Diest along with Gilmore are still possibilities to get the job.
I would say it's unlikely that Gilmore gets the job as Montana likes coaches with experience coaching in the Northwest part of the country, but keep your fingers crossed.

Not sure if there is another one out here but here we go.
Dont remember the year but my first game was when Calvin Johnson played a hell of a game against Kansas. It was a eithere a kickoff or punt all the way to the house for a touchdown had to be 90 yrds plus. The place was amazing. I still remember to this day wondering why the hell everyone had balloons at a football game..
Do you mean Calvin Jones? Or was there also a Calvin Johnson that played for the Huskers?

If he commits we can use the Arsenal jerseys from a few years back. Or just get O2 to sponsor us as the huskers official cell phone provider in England.

But I'm just not feeling it this week.
The offense is so non-prolific that the only thing left for them to do is surprise us. Facing a top 3 team in a game no one expects us to win might be the best situation for these guys.
It's actually the defense I'm worried about. I just don't think they've faced a quality opponent this year, and given up a lot of yards, if not points, to some pretty weak teams.
Again, big games are what coaching is all about. Hope to see strategy and focus on every side of the ball.
And remember, the only good thing about Nebraska being unranked is that we get to enjoy an upset.
I don't even remember when the last one was.
But this would be epic.
If you mean last time we beat a ranked team or higher ranked team think back to Oklahoma a few weeks.
If you're talking Vegas underdogs I don't know if we were a dog in that game or not.

at these announcers talking about Asante as a dirty player.
History would tend to defend their stance.

Florida's defense is really good, but I think our D is better. Think of how good our D's stats could have been if they had not had the misfortune of not being able to face our offense.
