  1. Quincy already stated he was solid...he aren't going to lose him..I would love to get Demien...

Although Demien looks like he'll be a very good player for them, we have three real good o-line recruits this year and two already for next year. If we do only have one or two spots left in this class I'd like to see us go in a different direction. But maybe you were just saying that, in a perfect world, if we had the room for him in this class you would love to get him to Lincoln.

  2. Burkhead would another person I'd say deserves the honors. He had a great game with a lot of powerful runs

Burkhead wins the preparation mvp in my book. Because he watched lots of film to find tendencies in Arizona's D? No, he wins because he had the foresight to wear white shoes. And they looked awesome.

Burkhead doesnt wear white shoes, but he puts a ton of white tape on his shoes/ankle.

Well on my tiny computer screen(thank you channelsurfing.net) it looked like his shoes were white. And it looked sweet. So in the future he should definitely start wearing white shoes.

  3. I also thought it was a class move for Stoops to go for it at the end instead of kicking the fieldgoal. I know that a lot of coaches would have done that, but I'm pretty sure if this had been a game involving SEC teams that the losing coach would have taken away the shutout. Not that I would have complained had he kicked it, we didn't keep them from driving the field. I was just glad to see our defense get the goose egg.

  5. Tom Deinhart of Rivals via twitter:

I am told Montana is down to three: Griz DC Kraig Paulson; Griz asst. HC Brent Pease; Griz WR coach Robin Pflugrad

Montana doesnt want him. What a surprise

The tweet is not very accurate. First Pease is currently at Boise St, he's not the Griz asst HC. Second although Pflugrad and Pease are probable finalists for the job Paulson just took a job with UNLV. Wisconsin DC Doeren(Sp?) and Carrol College HC Van Diest along with Gilmore are still possibilities to get the job.

I would say it's unlikely that Gilmore gets the job as Montana likes coaches with experience coaching in the Northwest part of the country, but keep your fingers crossed.

  6. Not sure if there is another one out here but here we go.

Dont remember the year but my first game was when Calvin Johnson played a hell of a game against Kansas. It was a eithere a kickoff or punt all the way to the house for a touchdown had to be 90 yrds plus. The place was amazing. I still remember to this day wondering why the hell everyone had balloons at a football game..

Do you mean Calvin Jones? Or was there also a Calvin Johnson that played for the Huskers?

Are you looking to adopt? ....cause I know someone who'd take gifts like that. jus' sayin'

  8. But I'm just not feeling it this week.

The offense is so non-prolific that the only thing left for them to do is surprise us. Facing a top 3 team in a game no one expects us to win might be the best situation for these guys.

It's actually the defense I'm worried about. I just don't think they've faced a quality opponent this year, and given up a lot of yards, if not points, to some pretty weak teams.

Again, big games are what coaching is all about. Hope to see strategy and focus on every side of the ball.

And remember, the only good thing about Nebraska being unranked is that we get to enjoy an upset.

I don't even remember when the last one was.

    But this would be epic.

If you mean last time we beat a ranked team or higher ranked team think back to Oklahoma a few weeks.

If you're talking Vegas underdogs I don't know if we were a dog in that game or not.
