  4. I went with California - lack of competition is the main reason look how many teams in the Big 12 and the SEC hit Texas - I understand there is an abundant amount of talent , but it is a log jam trying to get the best players from there.

  7. sorry for jumping in this debate a little late but football is a game of match-ups on offense AND defense but with the quality of players and type of players Frank left it was a total overhaul for Callahan - NU was out matched on both sides of the ball. I expect to see much improvement this year though (along with everyone else) but I will not be looking in the win/loss column as some others might. Look for improved execution and effort this year and things will clear themselves up over time.
  8. Joe D had the desire to play Taylor has the brains to play. I dont think that college QB's need to have an arm like Favre to play the game i.e oklahoma the last 3 yrs - imo - i will take less arm strength this year with better decision making

  14. If memory serves me correctly I think Max E. is the one who started it all (the Grandfather of recruiting). But with ALL services it is just an opinion I will leave the evaluation of prospects to the coaches - they hopefully know what talent they need at what position. I just put this up for fodder Just something to talk about while it is a little slow right now.

I agree that we are not starting over but I chose 2008 - I think that the infusion of JUCO's puts us back to the 9 win seasons but believe that our best chance will be with the incoming Frosh that will be juniors that year along with this years class (to be determined stars) that will be the real difference makers.
