  1. Not sure if I'll be in the minority or majority here, but honestly I envy Ron Brown's conviction. Someone who stands true to who they are even in the face of all this backlash is an impressive person and a role model in my eyes. Having said that I think maybe he could've done a bit better in getting his message out there so there wouldn't have been all the media attention, but I would be greatly disappointed if he didn't coach here until he retired. From all the people I've talked to on the team they absolutely love him.

  2. Whatever he ends up rated I sure want this guy. For as much as everyone talked up Edwards and talked about how Peat had a poor week of practice you sure couldn't tell from the game. Peat looked great all night especially in pass protection and I think he would have a legit chance at starting from day 1. He is just that talented and physically gifted IMO.

  3. I went to Lincoln Southwest and have heard several times that if the Huskers offer then hes a Husker. Hopefully they do as I've heard he's not only a great football player, but also a great kid. My only concern is that we've already offered and seem to have high interest from several other LB prospects namely Cox from Arizona and Ramirez (spelling) from Missouri. Hopefully Banderas and Minter both get offers soon so we can kick off our 2013 class!

  4. Can i pick all of the above and add that we can't seem to find any spark on offense... even though we've obviously tried absolutely everything... well except for trying that mobile backup quarterback... what was his name again?

  5. On a bright note i know we'd all love the best possible results going foward for this year but at least we can know that so many of these guys will be back next year with experience under their belts so hopefully we can really have that breakout year next year to hold onto the recruits that we already have for next year...

  6. you can say what you want about baker and his stars or stats but i played high school football with him and the best thing i can tell you about him is his work ethic and his personality he is going to bust his butt to be the very best he can for his team and i think he will have a huge impact in the future no matter which side of the ball he plays on

  7. Something else i think you have to consider is that if you choose to redshirt him then what happens the year after next? you go through next season with witt or lee as the starter then the next year say thanks time to back up the kid? i think if you redshirt him your kinda saying hes a backup till whoever starts next year moves on and since we wont have a senior qb next year that wouldnt be year after next, how long do you sit him on the bench?... just something to think about...

  8. Correct me if im wrong but the players we currently have at quarterback have virtually nothing but practice reps and the most playing time theyve got upto now is basically the spring game i dont think its out of the question for CG to come in and have a solid chance of starting and having the huskers look ahead for the future because to be honest our strong sets next year will be our offensive line and running backs so we need a quarterback that can make throws when needed but mainly to manage the game, while i think all of them are probably capable of that i think watching CG highlights he might be able to not only do that but also bust the occasional run for 50+... i guess in the end if at the end of spring ball hes anywhere near the level of understanding of our offense the other qbs have then id give him the nod to go ahead and start... IMO GBR!

  9. idk about a landmark win but it sure does feel good knowing that we could finish at 9-4 and having KU really be the last game that was a tossup as to who wins its nice to have it out of the way knowing that we got the W as far as landmark, if its possible to get a true landmark win this season i think our best chance would come in a bowl game if we could win out and play a quality team.

  10. I completely agree firings would be totally unwarrented honestly the numbers are great, they just get somewhat over shadowed because we are in the big 12 but i think both coaches are doing great. Also like its been said multiple times i couldnt see Watson leaving unless its for a HC job, while there are several openings this year i dont see Watson moving although i am interested to see if Turner Gill stays at Buffalo or moves somewhere else like idk Ksu...

  11. According to the Lincoln Journal Star today a bowl representative said that if Nebraska were to win out they would be very attractive to the Gator Bowl so assuming we beat ksu and cu id throw that in as a possibility
