For the record on Corcoran...he is the highest rated OL we have ever had since Steinkuhler opted to play DT instead of OT. Our line hasn't impressed me enough to not think he could start. In no way do I think it's a guarantee but people who don't see it happening at all I don't understand

Is he coming in December? That could be a huge piece of the puzzle in terms of him competing to start.

    • I've heard this about JD for 2 years now and is true that he has thought about leaving. Not sure he will
    • I also heard that Vedral will be a GT in May
    • McQuitty feels he should be getting PT
    • Domann having some frustrations with the staff
    • Hunt and Legrone might be gone after their debacle
    • Bradley, Rafdal, Butler and Jefferson see the writing on the wall with PT

Vedral is going to graduate in 3 years?

  3. I have seen multiple posts with Ty at DE and Keem Green at DT. They need to be switched. It’s been that way in practice and games.

    Nash is going to RS.

The two RB recruits are going to have every opportunity to come and in play. There just isn’t any depth behind Mills and Johnson.

I would love to see Thompkins at 100% but who knows if that will ever happen.

Hopefully the redshirting WRs come back next year more physically developed and have a better understanding of the position. The opportunity is there for them as well. Have to close on Manning and have him qualify.

The oline battles in the spring and fall are going to be fierce. There is a scenario that both starting guards are second string next year. I think we all agree Farniok will move Hixson out. Can Piper push out Wilson? Does Bando take the next step in his devolpment?

On D I can’t wait to have Williams back at safety. Cam may be your corner in base but I think they like him at nickel when a LB goes out. It allows for a more physical player to be closer to the line to defend the run. I would LOVE to see NPG make an impact next year. Talented and fearless. Big offseason for him.

Henrich, Reimer and Hannah have a big offseason ahead of them. Hopefully they take advantage.

I can’t wait to see Ty and Keem after winter conditioning.

And for the love of all things holy can we please find someone that can kick the ball out of the end zone on kickoffs. We might be 7-5 this year if we had Adi Kunalic this year for that reason a lone.

  4. My biggest gripe with the last drive is why are Barry and Honas in on 3rd and long? What happened to our dime package where Eric Lee would come in for Barry (Purdue first half) and play a hybrid linebacker/rover position? Inexcusable to only have five players in the secondary in that situation.

Waldoch taking the first warmup kicks though. I think Frost goes with Waldoch as the kicker today.

I think you're right. Frost seems really confident in Waldock. Curious if Armstrong does the KOs again or they have BP do it.

Do we have confirmation he is warming up?

No, just going by what Callahan said on Big Red Wrap up. He was saying how crazy it was that Nebraska was getting 2 jucos , both 4 to play 3, and both early enrollees.

I hope you are right. Will be extremely beneficial for him to get here as early as possible.

Henrich is definitely great talent which we need.  Hopefully his injury issues are something he will be able to move on from.

Regarding Hodge, he is coming in basically at the same size as Reimer and Hannah, but all 3 of them could use to put on about 20 lbs over the offseason.

Agree. Hannah maybe more. I can’t get over how slight his looks on the sidelines.

Honas also suffered a major knee injury in 2018, just as he was starting to figure things out. Although it could be a blessing if he has a standout 2020 season.

My “same level as Henrich” comment was based around, starters - Honas and Miller, 2nd string - Hodge and Henrich, 3rd string - Hannah and Reimer.

Also, I’m a huge Henrich fan, as he graduated from my high school alma mater. However, none of those offers out of high school mean anything if he can’t stay healthy. He has gone thru injury issues the past 14 months.

No doubt. We definitely need him to stay healthy. He has the talent we haven’t had a ILB in a long time.

    1. That’s a very subjective statement
    2. If he is 2nd string that will be good for the team because he will have beat out good players

agree 100% about it benefiting Honas for 2020
