      Maybe you could sell it to them for $1. I've done that before to get around the sales tax issue.

      Yeah, here in PA, they will tax the market value if the sale price is low.

       

      We were going to donate it, but then a girl i work with is having a rough time of things with her car (and life in general), so we are going to give it to her.  The state collects around 140 just in title transfer fees, plus the tax i mentioned above.  On top of that, the it needs a new inspection and emissions test, since that expired yesterday.

       

      No good deed goes unpunished.
